Mabel was fuming, her fist still clenched and a small amount of Candy's blood was on it. "WHAT THE FUCK WERE YOU THINKING?!?" Mabel screamed, making everyone turn and look at them but Mabel didn't care. She was too angry and care. "I was just trying to get Dipper to like me, something that YOU said you'd help me do!" Candy said, still cradling the broken nose. Mabel then turned her attention to Dipper. "And you, what were you thinking doing that to Pacifica!" Mabel had the right mind to punch him as well but she didn't, something just felt off. "Look Mabel I don't know what you're talking about, I only have feelings for Candy." Dipper proclaimed with utter sincerity in his voice.
Mabel couldn't believe her ears, why the hell was he saying this, he loves Pacifica and not Candy. "He can't be telling the truth, he's probably under some kind of spell!" Mabel thought, then an idea struck her. She reached into her purse and pulled out a small necklace. It was a simple gold chain but on the end was a shard of the Truth Stone(yes, this damn thing is back) and walked up to Dipper. While he was distracted she clasped the necklace in place them proceeded to ask him questions. "Do you love Pacifica?" Mabel asked bluntly, to which Dipper replied, "No, never have." He said immediately before getting a look of confusion on his face. "Do you love Candy?" Mabel then asked, "Yes, more than anything yes!" Dipper again answered immediately. "How long have you loved her?" Mabel then questioned. This time Dipper didn't answer right away, instead he furrowed his brow trying to concentrate.
"I can't remember, but I know that I love her!" Dipper repeated almost like he was stuck on loop. At first Candy looked up and smiled at Dipper, then a horrible truth finally settled in. "Wait, Pacifica...you were dating PACIFICA?!?!" Candy asked incredulously, now remembering that girl running away crying. "Oh no, oh God what have I done?!?" Candy was now frantic, she had just destroyed her only chance of becoming friends with Pacifica. "WHY THE HELL DIDN'T YOU TELL ME DIPPER?!?" Candy asked Dipper angrily, tears coming down her face.
"I...I...-HUECK!" He never finished, Dipper was suddenly shaking from head to foot. "Dipper, are you okay?" Mabel asked, her anger momentarily replaced with concern. Dipper started to tense up, his eyes bulging out of his head. He collapsed and puked blood but it looked to be a bright green color with gold specks littered in it. "What the hell?!?" Mabel was scared, her brother looked to be dying and she had no idea what to do.
"NO, I HAVEN'T....GOT...MY....NOOOOOOO!" Dipper screamed, his voice changing near the end. He then gave one last twitch, somehow trying to grasp at the last of his life, then went still.
"AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!!!" Mabel let out a scream, followed by everyone doing the same and exiting the building in a scattering rush.Mabel couldn't move, she had a look of pure terror and sorrow on her face. The tears started falling, first lightly, then she was sobbing heavily. "Please...come back Dipper." Mabel choked out through the tears.
Candy looked up at her best friend as she cried over her brother. Candy felt horrible, SHE had caused the death of a good friend and a great brother just because she was jealous. Candy looked down in shame, no longer able to look Mabel in the eyes. In the moment neither Mabel nor Candy heard a door open.
"What the hell happened here?!?" They heard a voice ask in fear.
Mabel and Candy looked up, unprepared for what they saw. "D...Dipper...how?" Mabel stuttered in shock, she thought she might have been hallucinating but when she looked at Candy and also had the same face of disbelief. "Oh man, did he hurt anyone, Where's Pacifica?" Dipper asked in worry, looking around frantically. Suddenly he felt someone tackle him, it was Mabel and she was crying hard. OH GOD, I THOUGHT YOU WERE DEAD!!!" She said as she hugged him tightly. Dipper managed to release his arms and hug her back, "I'm not dead yet Mabel, please don't cry." Dipper said soothingly, rubbing her back with his thumb to calm her down.
