The cage was getting cramped, and it didn't help that it smelled like cat urine and gasoline. Dipper was starting to feel a tad bit claustrophobic but knew as long as Giffany was still watching him he couldn't get out. Even if she wasn't he still wouldn't have been able to escape because there was a chain wrapped through the door with a padlock holding it in place. Dipper had tried everything, and had once or twice managed to knock the cage on its side.

Dipper started looking around, trying to get a bearing on where he was exactly. Giffany had said he was still in Gravity Falls but this warehouse didn't strike Dipper as something he ever saw from the countless times he's been around town. He tried to see anything outside the countless windows but they were too smudged make anything out. "Look at you, trying to get out of a fucking cage, how ironic isn't it?" Giffany asked, making Dipper pull a confused look. "What the hell are you talking about, I never put you in a cage!" Dipper said but Giffany only sneered and kicked the cage harder.

"No, but you would if given the chance." She stated matter-of-factly. Dipper was still having trouble figuring this out, so Giffany keeled down. "I'm guessing you haven't heard, about what happened after Soos destroyed the disc. Well I was trapped in cyberspace, floating through forums, webpages, browsers, blogs, and many sites that still make me sick to think about!" Giffany said angrily, her fist clenching and unclenching. "It was Bill who rescued me, it was he who promised me that I would be reunited with Soos, but he told me that it was you who could be the one who would send me back floating in the internet!" Giffany yelled at Dipper, then standing up and turning her back to him.

"I know what you think I am...a psychopath, a love-sick computer program but I'm not, I'm more than you can understand." Giffany finished, and Dipper heard what he thought was crying. "Look...uh...Giffany, I don't want to send you back to cyberspace, mostly because I have no idea how to, but the fact remains that Soos doesn't love you because you showed your true colors on his date. You weren't real, so that's why you two just couldn't be together, and he has Melody now and he has no thoughts of letting her go." Dipper pleaded, trying to get some form of human sympathy from her. "You should know all about love, you're entire purpose is to know the purest form of love! So tell me Giffany, does Soos love you?" Dipper questioned, knowing he was making her angry.

"He does love me! It's just...he..." Giffany was trying to think of an answer and truthfully...couldn't. She remembered the look of fear and anger he had shown when they last saw each other at that restaurant, when she had threatened Melody, Dipper, and Mabel. Then she recalled how his look was different when he looked at Melody, it was loving and happy. "He...I..." Giffany was having trouble getting her words out because she we starting to fully cry, she was trembling. "Please, I know how you feel Giffany, I have someone who I care for a lot and love with every fiber of my being. But the difference between us is she loves me back just as much, that's what you don't understand...they need to love you back!" Dipper kept saying, trying to appeal to her emotions.

Giffany was now sobbing, she collapsed on the ground in a kneeling position(like most characters in dramatic anime seem to do when they're upset)unable to speak. "Please, I'm just trying to be with the person I love. You of all people would understand that!" Dipper pleaded. He then looked outside and noticed it was past dark, he was panicking at the thought of what the shapeshifter might be doing. Suddenly Giffany stopped crying and stood up. She turned to face Dipper and her eyes were still red and puffy. "I'm sorry...I'm so sorry I did this to you." She said, then ran down the hallway. Dipper thought she had left him and hung his head in defeat. Then he heard footsteps running back down the hallway, and there stood Giffany with a set of keys.

Once she had opened the door and Dipper had gotten out she hugged him with enough force to crack a tree. "Crushing....me!" Dipper got out and Giffany let go, hanging her head in embarrassment. "Sorry, it's just...it's the first time I've actually hugged anyone." Giffany admitted sheepishly, and Dipper let out a small chuckle. "I can tell, just ease into a hug and don't try to break their spines." Dipper said, then instantly his mood changed to a more serious tone. "Giffany, what's their plan, what is the shapeshifter going to do?" Dipper questioned, instant dread coming into his voice as he considered the possibilities.

"It was Bill Cipher's plan, he was going to make the fake you pretend to fall in love with the Candy girl so that your life would be shattered and you would be hated by all." Giffany explained, making Dipper growl with hatred. "Bill, I was wondering if he ever had a hand in this! Where am I?" Dipper asked. "You're in the more ghetto section of Gravity Falls, a little ways east of the town hall." Giffany answered, then showed him a tourist map of Gravity Falls. "We're here," Giffany said and pointed to a small outcropping of buildings, houses, and sure enough the large warehouse they were in; "You need to be here." Giffany moved her finger to the right and pointed to what Dipper recognized as the town hall. "That's not too far, thanks Giffany!" Dipper said and hugged Giffany who, after figuring out what happened, hugged back.

After Dipper had left, the crazed program was done with her thoughts once again. "Why, why can't love be simple?" "Because if it were simple you would have been discontinued a long time ago." "But why must it hurt so much, and why must it hurt the ones you love?" "Love is about making an ultimate sacrifice on both sides, it's Hell on earth to live through it but eventually it feels like bliss once you've found the right one." Giffany was getting a headache from doing this, then thought of something insane.

She ran after Dipper.

12:00 p.m.

Dipper has just reached the familiar buildings of 5th street in town. "Not that far, not that far, not that far!" Dipper kept panting from exhaustion. Soon enough he did see the the lights of town hall in the distance and sighed with relief, partly because he was about to collapse. When he got close he heard a noise, followed by a few people leaving the building...and then...a mass exodus. It was as if everyone was scrambling, trying to get out of the there fast as they possibly could. Dipper hid in an alleyway, not sure what was going on. When the people finally dispersed, Dipper made his way to the front doors and opened them, not quite comprehending what he was looking at.

There was Mabel, a mixed look of fear, rage, and grief in her face all at once. Then there was Candy, who looked to be nursing a broken nose. Then he saw a gruesome sight, even a little much for him to bare.

There on the floor was his body. Dead. Poisoned.

"What the hell is going on here?!?"

So, how did you all like that? Truth it's not one of my better works but I had no real direction with this chapter, just trying to make a dramatic transition into the next chapters.
