A/N: by the way! The last chapter was when Katherine's Mom ran from the castle after she found out her lover has been murdered.

Katie's POV.

I ran after my mother. She glanced at Spellvania one last time before pulling up her cloak, she left not looking back once.

She huffed as she ran between the trees. Before settling in a small cave. She used magic to make fire.

I sat down opposite her in the dimly lit cave. She was quietly staring at the fire, I was certain it was the middle of the night now. Soon she was crying again and I moved to her hugging her side awkwardly.

Even though it felt like I was hugging nothing.

She did not sleep a wink, she would grab her stomach every now and then. Then she finally left the cave at dawn. I followed behind her. She walked through the forest, the morning came.

Then she suddenly stopped, I did too...the sound of horses galloping filled my ears and panic filled her eyes as she started running. I followed immediately.

But a pregnant woman can only run so fast. The horses were catching up and my mother ran faster and almost limping and then she paused behind a tree. Her hand covered her mouth as water ran down her legs.

She breathed heavily. Holding her stomach and gritting her teeth. She let out a small sob. I could see the horses coming closer.

I was also panicking now. They were looking around for my mother I assume.

She took deep breaths again. She clenched her teeth lolling her head up, and she let out a small grunt of pain causing the men to look in our direction.

She shut her eyes tightly, biting her lip trying not to make a noise but... "Arghh!!!" She let out a loud cry and immediately the sky got darker. The men on the horses looked around in confusion, they were standing in front of us.

I held my breath and I noticed the necklace my mother wore, it was glowing as she slid down the tree opening her legs slightly more.

The men... could not see her, even tho she was right in front of them. I knelt by her side as hot tears dropped down the side of her face.

She let out another loud cry her face twisting into that of pain I could feel myself crying too because I could not do anything.

She took deep breaths again, she closed her eyes letting out a long grunt and then I heard....the cry of a baby just as it started raining heavily.

The men were drifting from us still searching in the heavy rain. The rain was drenching her but it has no effect on me. I stayed dry.

But the baby was getting soaked. She let out a long sigh as she shifted towards the baby. She lifted me into her arms the rain washing most of the blood away. She smiled a bit before pulling me to her chest.

"My baby" she cried while the baby(me) cried too. She pulled back when i went quiet the rain also stopped with it. But the cloud stayed dark.

I(baby) opened my eyes squinting I saw a pair of familiar emerald eyes. This made my mother start to cry again, muttering something about my father not being able to see this. Then she brought out a small dagger to cut a....rope? That was connecting the baby to her.

The horses were coming back. I noticed the necklace on my mother's neck flickering. Her eyes went wide as she took off her cloak. Wrapping me with it. Then She took off the necklace.

She gently put it around my neck as I started to cry again. she kissed my cheek continuously "I love you, my Irene, your mother loves you" was the last thing she said before getting up.
