I strolled down the hallway of the office, whistling and humming to a melody that has been stuck in my head since last night. Matagal na akong hindi nagsusulat ng kanta, and for some reason, I wanted to sit down and write my heart out.

"S-Sir.. Sir André?" Someone stutteringly greeted me as I waited for the elevator door to open.

"Good morning, Kuya Henry!" I greeted back the middle-aged man who I recognized to be one of the cleaners in the building.

"Nakakalakad na kayo, sir?"

Ah right. I just received my miracle last night. Having my legs back was just a bonus.

Tinapik ko ang balikat ni Kuya Henry habang nakangiti. "Dumating na po ulit ang milagro sa buhay ko. Actually, dalawang milagro. Kagabi lang."

I proceeded to greet everyone I passed by before I reached the meeting room, where Izo was waiting as usual.

Pagpasok ko sa loob ng meeting room, nakita kong nakatingin si Izo sa kanyang relo. "It's 7:17 am."

I looked at the time on my phone. It was indeed 7:17 am. "Yeah, why?" sagot ko sabay upo sa bakanteng upuan sa gitna ng table.

"You're dramatically early," he deadpanned, fixing his eyes to the tablet he was holding. I bet he was reading the morning news like the old guy that he was.

I chuckled, typing on my phone. Hindi ako masyadong nakatulog kagabi, but it has been the best night of my life so far.

As soon as I pressed the send button, a loud burst of laughter filled the room. "Mahal ko, I love you. Mwah, mwah, mwah."

"Chain, can you take a seat? You're disturbing my peace," Izo reprimanded the guy who was apparently standing behind me and reading my text.

"I don't mind," I shrugged, reading my beloved wife's response to my previous text.
