"Why didn't you tell Charles the truth?"

"I tried. She wouldn't listen to me."

"You can still tell her, Axe... what exactly happened that night."

"She won't believe me, just like how you and everyone else never did."

"I'm sorry, Axe."

"It's fine. Tapos na. Hindi na niya ako mahal. May pamilya na siya. She's happily married to someone else with a kid even."

"So, you would rather hurt yourself than let her know the truth?"

"Because it will kill her to know the truth about her brother. She loves and respects him too much."

"You're just going to let her believe that you killed her brother like that?"

"This is my karma, Izo. I deserve all these shit happening to me. Besides, I don't want to ruin her life anymore. She's happy now. That's all that matters."

"Don't give up on your life, Axe."

"I'm not. I'm just giving up on her."

Nakahinga ako nang maluwag habang tinutulungan ako ni Alphonse sa aking wheelchair papunta sa kotse sa parking lot. After that conversation with my older brother earlier, I just wanted to get the hell out of here.

The moment I stepped inside the car, my jaw fell upon seeing my other older brother, Charbel sitting next to the driver's seat.

"What took you so long?" he queried, making me raise a brow at him.

"None of your business," I brushed him off, positioning my wheelchair on the backseat. "Besides, what are you doing here? You have your own goddamn car."

"Why make my life difficult when I can ride here, right?"

I thought I was annoying, but this guy was the definition of it. I suddenly got reminded why I liked Izo more than Chain.

Few minutes later, we finally reached the mansion to celebrate Fina and Kell's daughter' birthday. I immediately saw the squad gathered in a circle in the garden at the back of the mansion.

"Mommy! I want that car!" I caught a little boy running around, trying to chase his pregnant mom.

"Come eat first before you play."

"I'm not hungry!"

"Oh, look, Vani! Your Tito André's here. Remember you want his toy cars?" the pregnant lady with long golden locks mentioned my name as she lifted her chin my way.
