Chapter 30 - Birthday ?

Astoria's Pov

The first thing I zee when I go downstairs, early in the morning is Ashford and Marina on the table.

A cake in front of them, Marina clapping Ashford cutting a cake.

What........?

I enter the kitchen and they both turned to look at me.

"Wait is it your birthday?" I ask Ashford but before he could reply. The ultimate bitch spoke for him.

"You're his wife and you don't even know its his birthday today" she said, with a scoff at the end.

"I'm just a human and not a calendar who would know what date it is and what event it is. By the way, happy birthday Ashford " I said and without hearing anything from any of them, I get out and head towards my room to get ready for office.

"And then she says 'oh my god you're his wife and you don't even his birthday' like bitch I'm not a calendar or I don't have HSAM like Alex Volkov" I told all of the event to lexi as we met over lunch.

"Girl I'm telling you she's a literal bitch" she says and I nod as I take a bite of my salad.

"By the way, did you buy something for him ?" She asks and I shake my head.

"Idiot, we should go shopping right now" she says but i shake my head again.

"I can't, I have work" I said but she rolled her eyes.

"I don't anything but we're buying a gift for him so that, that bitch doesn't have any other opportunity to insult you" she says and i sigh before paying the bill, messaging Clair to postpone my meeting and heading off towards the mall.

After an hour of just roaming around. We find nothing.
"God why is finding gifts for men so hard ?" I groan as lexi nodded as she sighed.

"True, it's hard as fuck" she says.

"I'm still sticking with the idea of gifting him a car or something " I say and she sighs with a nod.

"He already has many cars, gift him a bike" she says and I nod.

Soon I was trying to hide the newly bought BMW S 1000 RR in our garage.

I've already called Ash's parents and friends and bought stuff to decorate the mansion a bit.

"Ast, you hid it ?" Cleo asks as I nod.

"Yeah I practically did. I just have to make sure I don't use my car or else he'll see it" i say as i took out the keys and kept in my car dashboard. 

I check once more if the bike is hidden or not and then went inside with Cleo. Adler is at Ash's office to keep him away from the mansion and i don't know where Marina is.

The head maid has prepared the dinner and soon it will be time for ash to come back home.

I was about to go upstairs when i heard the doorbell ring. I went near the door to open it and saw Ash's parents.

"Hi mom ! Hi dad ! Its been so long since i met you" i say as i hugged them both.

"I know. We were in Italy due to his work there that's why we couldn't come and meet you two" Ash's mom say and i nod in understanding.

"Please come in. I can't let you stand here for all day" I say and open the heavy door wider so  that they can come in.

We all go to the living room and sit down. "I hope you both are going to stay for long this time" I say and mom shrugs her shoulders.
