Pag papa alala sa akin ni George habang nasa green house garden kami rito sa mansion.

May hawak pa siyang alagang pusa na tinatawag niyang "dark" kanina. Sa kulay palang, dark na talaga. Pero halatang mamahaling pusa ito.

I love pets but whenever I see this cat, it would just remind me of my pet, donkey. They're enemy.

"What more did you know about me?" I asked.

"Maybe it is not easy for you to understand things right now but we are actually part of the crime family."

Parang natuyot ang laway ko sa lalamunan. "C-crime Family? Like Criminals?"

Nakita ko namang saglit napaawang ang bibig ni Lucio na katabi ko lang. George just chuckled and nodded. Unfair, ang cute niya tumawa nang mahina!

"Russ clan is part of the mafia family, Lucy. Our grand father was the one who created it. Later on, uncle Fabio, your father inherited everything about illegal business. He also has legal companies but he gave one of them to my mother." He explained while stroking his cat's pur back and forth.

Hindi parin talaga ako makapaniwala na anak ako ng isang mafia boss. I mean, who would have thought? I never knew that a woman like me who thinks simple was not really a simple lady roaming on the streets?

"Illegal? M-may illegal na business ang tatay ko?"I suddenly forgot that I was talking to a German cousin. "I mean—" I was about to translate it when he nodded.

"I understood. And yes, all mafia families have illegal business. They kill people, but those who are just criminals or the ones who deserves to die. Paminsan minsan ay nagtatrabaho sila sa likod ng gobyerno kapalit ng proteksyon nito."

Napa nga-nga nalang ako sa galing niyang mag tagalog. He has this filipino accent when speaking Filipino but it changed into american accent whenever he's speaking german.

"But they're gone...ibig sabihin, si auntie ang may hawak sa lahat?"I asked out of curiosity and he simply nodded.

"My mother is the one who managed all of it, especially the illegal ones since she's next to the inheritance." Sumimsim muna siya ng kape bagong nagsalitang muli. "I know my mother so well. Even if I don't want her to become a woman who she is now, I don't have a choice. Siya ang namumuno, siya ang natitirang anak ni lolo at kasunod ni uncle Fabio."

I could feel how hurt he is to speak his mother's name as a monster herself. Iba talaga ang nagagawa ng pera. Nakakalimutan kung sino ang mahalagang tao na nariyan para sayo.

Money manipulates humans. That's the truth.

"Ikaw ba, wala ka bang balak manahin lahat?" tanong ko.

He simply glanced at me. "I have no intentions on getting what was yours from the beginning, Lucy. I'm fine with my life as a doctor."

So he's a doctor now. Pero kung titingnan, ang bata niya pa para sa larangang iyon. Hindi nga talagang mapagkakailang napaka talino ng lalaking ito.

"Pero ang daming pera noon saka I have no plans on working underworld 'no? I want to live in peace. Malayo sa mundo ng kaguluhan." I said.

The moment I knew that Alas is part of the underworld society, I already planned to ask him to leave the underworld.
