Part 167~Love and Worry

Shoyo looked over at the ultrasound screen, keeping his eyes on the small black and white picture on the screen.

He felt the pup shift around, a slight smile appeared on his face as he watched it from the screen.

"Shoyo"

He turned his head and looked at Dr Miyu who had a gentle expression on his face.

"Your pup is perfectly healthy" He said, pulling the ultrasound stick away and standing up. He grabbed a few paper towels and wiped his belly off.

"They have a strong heart beat, and they're clearly quite active" Miyu chuckled, the pup had been moving during the entire ultrasound.

Shoyo nodded and looked down at his belly, pulling his shirt down and with the help of Miyu, sat up.

Miyu moved the back of the exam table, to where Shoyo could now sit up with his back laying against a steady surface.

"Can I ask, what is making you so anxious with this pregnancy? This is the second time you've come in for a scan, when an appointment truthfully isn't needed" they said, taking a seat next to the exam table.

Shoyo looked at them, then kept his gaze down.

Miyu quietly observed Shoyo, giving him a moment to gather himself.

Shoyo just shrugged, "I just want to make sure everything's okay" he said. "I've just felt off"

Miyu nodded, "I understand, and you know that I will gladly do whatever i can to help you feel more comfortable, but I want to assure you that if I saw anything that caused concern, I would have you on a closer watch"

Shoyo nodded, his eyes teared up. "I'm sorry-" he took a breath and looked away, wiping the tears from his face.

Miyu walked over to the counter, and grabbed a box of tissues, walking back over to Shoyo and handing him a few.

"There is nothing for you to apologize about. But Shoyo, you can't be bottling up your emotions, or stressing yourself out too much, there's only so much you can handle" Miyu said as he sat down once again.

"I'm aware of what you said your dad has been going through, I'm going to assume this had to do with his situation?" Miyu asked, receiving a slight nod from Shoyo, who shifted in his seat.

Miyu nodded, "I can't even begin to imagine the stress it's caused you, but I want to make sure that you're taking care of yourself, for you and your pups sake, okay?"

Shoyo nodded, fixing his shirt. Keeping his gaze down.

Miyu grabbed his clipboard, then sat back down "Have you been eating properly?" They asked.

Shoyo nodded, a bit hesitantly. "Yes, aside from when my morning sickness is worse" he said.

Miyu glanced at him for a moment then nodded. "How about sleep?"

Shoyo just smiled, "As good as you can get with four kids" he joked and shrugged.

Miyu smiled, "I can understand that" He laughed.

After a few more questions, Miyu requested Shoyo got some bloodwork done.

Tobio yawned as he walked into the house.

He shut and locked the door behind himself, then slipped off his shoes and sweater in the entry way.

He hung his hoodie, then set his bag down before walking further into the house.

He reached the living room, a smile appeared on his face when he saw Shoyo resting on the couch.

The past few days he knew he hadn't been getting a lot of rest, so he was happy to see him relaxing for now.
