ROCK BUNS

Self Raising Flour | 225g

Butter | 100g

Caster Sugar | 100g

Egg | 1

Milk | 1 Tablespoon

Chocolate Chips | 50g

< METHOD >


Light oven gas mark 6 or 200c. Grease a large baking sheet and sprinkle it with flour shake it to spread the flour and tip off the excess. Sieve the flour into a large mixing bowl cut the margarine into small pieces and add to the flour. Rub the margarine into the flour until it resembles breadcrumbs, then stir in the sugar and chocolate chips and break the egg into a small bowl or jug and add milk whisk them together. Gradually stir the egg and milk mixture into the dry ingredients in the mixing bowl. Place 12 rough piles of dough onto baking tray. Bake the buns for 10 minutes they will rise and turn golden brown lift each one onto a wire rack and leave them to cool.
