EVE'S PUDDING


Margarine | 50g

Caster Sugar | 50g

Self Raising Flour | 50g

Egg | 1

Apples | 2

< METHOD >


Light the oven to gas mark 5 or 190c. Core, half, quarter and peel apples. Cut into small pieces and place in pan with 2 tablespoons water. Stew gently with lid on until soft. Add a bit of sugar and place in a greased ovenproof dish.

To make the cake, place the following ingredients in a bowl and mix until well combined; self-raising flour, caster sugar and margarine. Cream the ingredients together until light & fluffy, then place the mixture on top of the apples and Smooth flat with a palette knife.

Bake for 20-25 minutes until sponge is risen, golden brown and springy to touch and sprinkle with caster sugar once complete.
