Nika's pov

I was currently at practice talking with Paige and Azzi although my mind was completely off. I was lacking of focus today and that's nothing like me. "Soo what's going on with you and Shane?" Paige asked teasingly making me shoot her a glare. She put her hands up and took a step back. "Come on Nika I've seen the way she looks at you. Seriously she has to like you or something cause she hasn't looked at someone like that in a really long time" Azzi said as I let out a sigh. "Look I don't know. I mean yeah she is super sweet and stuff but if she truly is a player I don't want to risk getting my heart broken again. It's been three months since Alleyne. You out of all people should remember how I was" i said and she nodded understanding. "Look no bullshit I think she likes you. She seems to be worried about you more than us. And believe me I am not exaggerating cause when one of us get on her bike first of all she doesn't give us the helmet. Second she isn't thinking like the world is ending if we say we are cold or that we got on the bike after a shower. Like come on Nika how can you not notice" Paige explained making me go back and review the last hours. She was right. Shane cared for the girl and she had known her for less than 48 hours. "Are you staying over at hers tonight?" Azzi asked and I nodded taking a big sip of my water. The curly haired girl smiled as she wiggled her eyebrows at me before letting out a laugh and sat down to take her shoes off. Practice had come to an end and I had already spotted Shane at the door. She said earlier today that she would come pick me up so I wouldn't walk there. "Just wish me luck cause I don't know what I'm gonna do with your friend" I said and sat up. I said bye to the two girls and made my way towards the girl I have been losing my mind for. "Hey beautiful" she said as she flashed me a smile before taking my bags. "Hey. I haven't showered is it cool if I shower at yours?" I asked as we walked towards the exit. "Of course it is. I'm here with my car by the way. Don't want you getting cold on me now" she said and I smiled looking at my feet as I felt a sudden heat on my cheeks. I heard her chuckle before she opened the door for me. I got in and she closed the door and after she left my things in the trunk she got in as well. "You wanna put some music on?We have a twenty minute drive to arrive to my apartment complex" she said and I said yes before she gave me the cable to connect my phone to the car. I put on some drake to ease my nerves and she seemed to approve my taste as she hummed to the songs. Before I could even blink we were already at her dorm. She came to my door and opened it for me and I laughed at her before getting out. We walked to the elevator and stood there waiting for it to get us to her floor. "You seemed a bit out of place today. Is something wrong?" She asked as we were walking to her dorm. I was taken aback by the fact that she noticed that. I didn't expect her to pay attention to details. "Well no I was just tired. I don't know why I was so unfocused today" I replied trying to keep my cool. She just said okay not looking much into it as she opened the door and let me get inside first. I saw that she had tidied up the place according to it's previous state in the morning. Of course she had company over so she didn't have much time to clean. You get the sarcasm I hope. "Let me grab you some fresh towels and you'll be good to go" she said with a small smile before disappearing into the corridor. I stood there soaking in every detail that I hadn't noticed when I was here earlier. I can understand by what I am seeing she is a clean freak. Everything is spotless. Every little thing is set to it's exact place. Not an inch further. "Okay you can go take a bath if you want. You hungry?" She asked as she came back and I felt my stomach growl a bit. "Yeah a bit" I said lowly and she nodded. "Want me to make something?" She asked looking at me dead in the eyes. "No no it's okay I'll be fine" I said not wanting to put her in to much work. "No I didn't ask if you actually wanted me to make something. Wait let me rephrase. What would you want me to make? The option no is not on the table" She asked serious but with a calming voice making me nervous at her movements "Whatever is easier for you" I said and she nodded "Just so you know I have filled the bathtub with warm water and some shampoo. You can use anything you want you'll see everything on the counter" she said before going to the kitchen. I went towards where I saw her go earlier although when I opened the door I was in a room. It was her bedroom. It was very nice and cozy. Dark blue sheets with black furniture. Black and white walls and some frames of friends. She had a window next to her bed letting the darkness of the night fall into the room. I didn't feel like me being in her room without her was okay so I just closed the door after taking in every detail I could see and opened the next door which revealed the big bathroom. It had also black and white walls with some white furniture. I saw on the counter some clearly new towels and the bathtub full with water and bubbles. I smiled before I took off my clothes and got in the warm water. I let out a big sigh as I felt my muscles relax more and more. I left my head to rest in the side of the tub as I let my body take in everything this bath was giving me. While relaxing I studied the bathroom seeing it was quite spacious. The floor had black tiles and the mirror in front of the sink was really tall. Shane must've fucked many girls here. A weird feeling hit my gut as that thought crossed my mind. I was jealous. I would never admit it to others but I was. I checked the time and saw that I was over an hour in here and I knew it was time to get out. I wrapped myself with the soft towel and I went to the living room to ask Shane where she had put my bag. As I entered the living room I saw her cutting some vegetables and stood there to admire her for a minute before I finally asked. "Shane where did you put my bag?". She turned around to listen to me and almost froze to the sight. "Um wait I'll come get it for you" she said. She didn't move for a bit her eyes not leaving my body. She looked up at my eyes and cleaned her hands before going in to the corridor and in another room. "You can change in my room" she said before opening the door for me. As we got inside I was able to take in more than before. "Your room is very nice. It seems cozy" I said and she smiled a little before saying. "Yeah it is. I designed it and built it mostly myself. Well I'll let you get changed. If you need anything tell me" she said and with that she left. It was really amusing and impressive the fact that she had built most of this by herself. The dark brown library, the white desk, this big bed. After I changed I put the towel in the washer and headed once again to the living room. As I sat down on the couch I saw her back muscles move swiftly as she placed a sheet across the table so we wouldn't make a mess on the hardwood. She then put out two tall glasses and turned around to look at me softly before saying "Would you like something to drink? Wine maybe?". I nodded in response as I saw her get out of the shelf a bottle of wine. I couldn't help but notice how careful she was with her words. She moved so elegantly it drove me insane. She poured some blood red wine in our glasses before she made her way towards me. "Here you go" she said giving me my glass as she sat on the armchair. "Do you like it?" She asked. I took a sip and my eyes widened before saying "This is amazing". She let out a laugh before she nodded and took a sip of her own. "Where did you get this?" I asked and she looked at me before saying "I didn't get it. Paige did when I got here". I laughed as I studied her features and we sat in silence for a bit before I spoke up again "How as practice? You didn't tell me" I asked and she smiled at me. "Really good to be honest. We played a practice game and I scored three goals" she said with a wide smile. A surge of joy rushed through me "That's great! I can't wait to see you play in a real match" I said and she smiled even more. "Well you should come to one of my games. I promise I'll come to one of yours as well" she said making me laugh in response. She sat there looking at me calmly for a minute. "Shall we go eat? I think the food's ready" she said and I said yes curious about how good her cooking skills were. She told me to sit down and that she would bring it to the table and I did as i was told. I sat down and she came by my side with a huge plate with the pizza on it. She cut it to pieces so we would be able to eat it properly and poured us some more wine before sitting down. I put a piece on my plate and took a small bite fully aware of how hot the pizza was. I hummed at the taste. "You like it?" She asked with a smile and I nodded before saying "This is so good oh my god" I said and she let out a laugh before taking a bit as well. I could get used to this. This was such a peaceful moment I loved it. By the time we finished our food I helped her clean up in the kitchen even though she didn't want me to. We made small talk as we were washing the dishes and I learned a lot of things about her. "So I will go and grab some pillows and a blanket and my room is all yours" she said making my eyes go wide. "Oh no no I'll sleep on the couch it's fine" I said making her roll her eyes at me. "There is no way. I am not discussing this" she said with a serious look before leaving me there as she went in her room to take her things. I let out a sigh before she came back and I just stood there observing her every move. "You're good to go. You need anything you come and ask me ok?" She asked and I nodded defeated and made my way to her room.
