Shane's pov

Many interviews took on my time after the match. We had a good game and honestly i was really glad that i played this good today. When almost everything seemed to be against me I still managed to play good. Stefanie, the captain of Syracuse had of course heard the news about McNaughton and I and she pulled me aside on the line up and told me she didn't believe shit. Me and stef used to hang out and only stopped talking that much cause we were both in different colleges. She's a great girl to be honest. And her words kinda helped ease my nerves a bit. "Yo we are going for drinks later. You should probably know that Anna will dress us all up so be ready" Ava shouted as i entered the locker room. "Oh my god. She'll make us all look like sluts bro" i said groaning at the thought. In response she just laughed and shrugged her shoulders before disappearing in one of the showers. I ramaged through my messages just to see four new texts from Nika. My eyebrows furrowed as i opened the chat and got in one of the showers. As I opened the photos i nearly dropped my phone. "Dear god" to say i was horny as hell was an understatement. I slowly scrolled through the pictures she had sent me before reaching the video. I lowered my volume before looking at my screen. Nika's moans filling my ears and the view in front of me unbearable. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath before smiling at my screen.

I closed the phone and set it on the bench near the shower. I took of my clothes and let the warm water attack my skin. A deep sigh left my lips as i washed my hair finally letting the exhaustion go. I faced up to where the water was falling letting it clear my mind from both the doubting and from the horniness i was now having because of Nika. Sooner or later I got out of the shower and grabbed my towel before an evil idea popped at my head. I decided i should send her a pic too. You know it's the polite thing to do. So that's what I did.

I sent her the pic and the goodnight text and got out of the shower ro get ready and get home so we xould get ready for the drinks. Ava and Harley came by earlier and we were talking as we got ready together. "Is this too slutty?" Harley asked making both me and Ava to turn around at the same time. It was a pretty funny scene though cause i was holding a button up shirt and Ava was holding her make up brush. "No?" "Yes" we both said before looking at eachother with a look that screamed 'are you serious rn?'. Harley looked at us before she laughed at us. "Y'all are dumb. But seriously should i wear this or not?" She asked. "You should wear it. It looks good" i said and Ava nodded. "If someone hits on you and you don't like it we have Shane here she's gonna bit them up" Ava said hyped up. I just shook my head at her before looking through my clothes once again. I put on a white button up shirt and left it open on the last two buttons. I threw on a pair of cream coloured cargos and my Jordans and I waited for the other two to get ready. Ava dressed the same way as me only in black and Harley put on a black dress that was open in the back and had cut on her leg. "Y'all ready?" I asked as I got us an uber. "Yep!" Yeah ready" they both said and I told them that the Uber would be here any minute now. I checked my phone in case Nika had texted me but surely she was asleep since she hadn't read my message from earlier. We got outside and waited for the uber to arrive as we chatted about anything possible. My brother called me sometime today but i couldn't answer so i would probably call him when i got back to UConn. "So how are things going with you and Nika?" Ava asked with a huge grin on her face. "I-we are doing great actually. We are pretty open about ourselves and it's going really well" I said smiling making bith of the girls congratulate me. "Thank you so much have a nice night" i said as i was the last one to exit the uber. The driver politely smiled at me before driving off leaving us outside of the club. We got in and headed to the bar to where our teammates were "YOO CAPTAIN'S HERE" The girls shouted making me chuckle before waving at them and going to get a drink. The atmosphere was loud and the air thick. Heat was radiating from the air-conditioning and suddenly i became hyper aware of my surroundings. I threw a look across the room studying the bodies that jumped up and down and danced to the rhythm of the music. Couples enjoying their selves. Groups of friends chugging alcohol like it's the last day on earth. My team of course was thrilled with todays win to say the least. Girls all around them living their best life. After a moment of navigating the room my eyes landed on someone who has been already looking at me. I furrowed slightly my eyebrows in confusion as I tried to see who it was. When I understood who was here my eyes widened. She was looking directly at my soul. She slowly approached me as if she was scared of what would happen. "Fancy seeing you here captain" she said with a smug grin. She took a sip of her drink not once her eyes leaving mine. My heart was beating so fast i could feel that in the next second it would jump out of my body. "Hello to you too Mrs Harvey" i replied trying to keep my composure. She let out a small laugh looking at my team then back at me. "How comw you're not partying as hard as they are? Don't tell me you care about your image now" she said cockily. "I am responsible for them. I can't just drink everything in here and take care of them too" i replied. My answer didn't satisfy her though. I could see it in her eyes. "No. That's not it. Something's holding you back. I just don't get what that is.." she said her eyes trailing of to my body. She studied every inch of me before her eyes landed on my bicep where Nika's hairtie was resting. "Noo baby. You're not holding yourself back because of a girl now are you?" She asked with a fake sympathetic look on her face. Her blue eyes now annoyingly on mine not letting me look away for a mere second. I scoffed at her reaction and broke our eye contact finally looking at literally anything else than her eyes. Her middle finger found my chin softly making me look at her once again. "That's a shame. You have changed a lot Shaney. The Shane I remember would rather lose a game than be in a relationship" she said near my ear. My breath hitched at how close she had come and i took a step back. Her hand tried to follow my head but i grabbed it and kept it away. Doing that made her smile and look at me with fake innocence. "You know me Harvey. I'm all surprises" i said trying not to crash out. "Shame really. But since when have you become this aggressive?" She asked refering to my hand still holding her hers tightly. I quickly let her go before sipping my beer. It was my second for the night. "You know I'm not aggressive. I'm just here to enjoy my evening. If you're planning on making chaos don't count me in it Caroline. I'm not that person anymore" i said and left her there. She let out a laugh that i could hear but i still ignored her and made my way to my teammates who were now playing beer pong. "Who is playing?" I asked and suddenly everyone wanted me on their team. I ended up with Ava against Harley and Anna. "Oh you're eating my dust baby!" I shouted as i threw a ball that landed on a cup. "Oh yeah!" Ava cheered making me laugh. As the game went on the time passed and everyone danced to the music and played beer pong and other games. As the time hit 4am I realised we really had to get going. So i took Ava and Harley and slowly we made our way to the uberi had called. We all sang along to a song with the driver being completely off key and out of our minds but hey at least we were having fun. As the driver left us at the hotel we thanked him and started to stumble so we could make it to our room. I took out the keys and after four tries i finally got it open. We cheered before we all threw fell to the floor since we had been counting on the door to hold us up. We laughed and kicked the door shut so we would not wake up the others. We slowly got up and i personally made my way to the couch and dropped dead on it. I must have texted someone as well but honestly? I don't remember shit. Next thing i knew was someone nudging me to wake up. "I'm gonna punch you if you don't leave me alone i swear" i mumbled as i turned to face the other way. "Dude it's like 2pm we gotta get ready. Flight's in three hours and we need to be there in two. Get up take a shower and fix your stuff" Ava said not in a better mood but awake. I groaned against the pillow before I faced the ceiling. I let out a breath before opening my phone.
