We ride together we die together" she said making me raise my eyebrows before I tackled her. I staued on top of her attacking her with kisses as she laughed before the doorbell rung. "Food!" Nika said as she pushed me off the couch to go and grab the food. "You love food more than me i swear" i said rubbing my back. "shush you'll live" she said walking over me with the dood on her hands. I got up and we sta on the couch once again only now with canes in front of us. We ate in max tena minutes the whole thing while watching some random show on tv. Nika soon was off sleeping on the couch using my thigh as a pillow. I saw this as a chance to hop on and play some call of duty so put I on my headset and logged in trying to stay as quiet as possible as to not wake Nika up. I've been playing around for two hours before i saw that someone was calling me. I dropped the set and paused the game as my brother was calling me. Nika was asleep on my lap so i tried not to wake her up by speaking lowly. "Hey man what's up?" I whispered as i leaned back. "Hey so um sorry for the random call i just thought you should get to know about such happy news. Mom and dad are finally splitting up and he's moving out. So i will be staying with her at least for now. So you don't have to worry about me" he said making a small smile come to my face. "That's... awesome man! I can't talk too loud cause Nika's sleeping but you can't imagine how happy i am. I will visit you soon. See mom as well. I was a bit harsh on her the last time we talked" i spoke as the guilt built inside me. "It's okay Shane. She should understand why you spoke the way you did. I would have reacted the same way if not worse" he said softly and i agreed with him. "Okay so I'll let you be for now. I'll be waiting for that visit. And bring Nika along too yeah? I wanna see who got my big player sister to settle down" He said and i laughed at him before saying "yeah yeah. Talk to you soon bud". We hung up a minute later ans i sat the phone down beside me. I caressed Nika's cheek softly as i watched her chest rise and fall quietly as billions of thoughts came to mind. I studied her characteristics one by one and her tattoos as well. I then thought about my tattoo on the back. Me, my brother and my mom have the same one. He just has it on his leg and our mom on her arm. It's a symbol mom drew when we were kids when our dad was drunk again. She would draw this to tell me what was going on and after some time i talked to my brother letting him know what it means. It was a silent promise between us that meant that we would protect one another. No matter what happened. I have caught Nika staring at it multiple times. Yet she still hasn't asked about it which gives me a bit space. Seeing how her family treated eachother was devastating. Not because it was bad or something like that. But because it's something I never got and always have wished for. Nika stirred in her sleep before slowly opening her eyes. The tv was now closed and she looked up to find my eyes. "How long was I out?" She mumbled before sitting up. "Two hours now. I talked to you but you were long gone" i said lauging softly making her laugh as well. "You want coffee?" I asked and she nodded with a smile making me grin. I kissed her quickly before I got up and headed to the kitchen. This girl is the definition of a cat. All she does is sleep, eat and got to practices. I swear Columba is so much like her. Well except the going to practices part. I soon was done with her coffee before making my way back to the living room. She was curled up in the corner i was sitting with her phone. "Someone likes to steal spots huh?" I said jokingly. "It smells like you here. Come back i miss you" she said reaching out to me. Yea I forgot to mention how clingy she gets after she wakes up. I laughed at her before setting the coffee on the table and sat beside her opening my amrs as she fell into them. "I love you so much you don't understand" she said her words muffled since her head was in the crook of my neck. "I love you too baby" i said as i scratched her back softly letting a satisfied hum erupt from her.
