Shane's pov

"Are you okay now?" I asked Nika while I brought her the tea I made for her. She has been crying for an hour and wasn't able to tell me anything. I tried calming her down but nothing seemed to work. We were now in her bedroom she was sitting against the headboard when she took the cup from my hands. I sat down beside her and looked at her sympathetically in the eyes. "I'm sorry this was so random I just. Uh I didn't want the girls to see me like that and you were the first person that came to mind" she said taking a sip from her drink. I smiled at the thought that I was the first one to call. "Don't even talk about it. I was worried about you. The message sounded off" I explained while I placed my hand on her knee. "You wanna tell me what happened?" I asked and saw her take a deep breath in. "okay okay. Um the guy you saw is my ex his name is Nahiem and I broke it off with him a couple of months ago because I realized I liked girls. He didn't take the break-up good and he was spamming me to get back together and that I would regret it so I blocked him" she said and stopped to take a breath whilst I nodded signaling for her to continue. "And when he found out that I had moved on from him he went crazy and showed up here. And he had always problems with his temper so I was really scared of what he would do. So I texted you cause I knew you could stop things from getting bad. I couldn't stop him throughout our relationship from doing what he wanted so that's how I know I can't" She said looking up at me. Silence filled the room for a couple of minutes as I tried to comprehend what I had just heard. I could feel her eyes on me but I was just looking at my hand. "Say something. Please" she said and I looked up at her not sure of what to say. I took her hand in mine and gripped it "I am so glad that you texted me in a situation like that. Grateful even. I want you to know besides the jokes I will be there for you if you need me Muhl. I mean it. No bullshit" I said holding strong eye contact with her. She smiled and I did the same knowing that she felt safe with me. "thank you" she whispered while looking at our hands. I took manners to my own hands and said a low "come here" before I hugged her closely. She of course hugged me back and we stayed like that for some time. She held me tightly trying to find affection and reassurance from my touch and I tried to give her as much as possible. As I pulled away I sat at my original seat before asking "So I know this is out of topic but you said you didn't realize you were gay while you were with him. So you've never been with a girl before?" That question has been roaming in my mind the last five minutes. At first she looked away a bit of embarrassed "No. I mean I have made out with a girl before but I've never gone further than that" she answered honestly which made my heart flutter a bit. I saw she was a bit uncomfortable so I tried to lighten her mood trying to hide the fact that I found it adorable "It's nothing to be ashamed of just so you know. We've all been there" I said and she smiled at me before nodding. As the time passed the more I felt closer to her and I loved it. Then I looked at the time and saw it was getting pretty late and it was already dark outside. Just then I got a text from an unknown number. That's strange at a time like this.

closed the chat and tried not to think about it but my mind kept going back to the thought of that girl. We slept together many nights before but I don't remember giving her my number. I almost never give it. I am probably overthinking it but only now did I realize I was still in Nika's room. "sorry someone texted me" I said and she just said it was nothing and not to worry about it. I saw a hint of curiosity and a bit of jealousy in her eyes but she didn't comment on anything. "So um I should probably leave you to relax after this shithole you have been through today" I said getting up "Is it much to ask for you to stay the night? I really don't wanna be alone right now" she said holding my hand. Of course I couldn't say no to her at a time like this. So I agreed. "yeah of course. I'll be on the couch if you need me" I said and she smiled at me before nodding "here let me give you pillows and a blanket" she said and after she handed me everything we said goodnight. I closed her door on my way out and sat down on the couch to think about how this day has been going. Pretty shitty if you ask me. But it is okay cause now I get to sleep in Nika's dorm. I laid down and let my thoughts consume me. After quite some time sleep wouldn't get to me making me groan as I sat straight at the couch. I stared at the wall for a minute trying to see what should I do that can make me fall asleep. But nothing came to mind. I got out to the balcony and let some cold air hit me as I tried to calm myself down. I sat there for a solid five minutes before I got cold and got inside. I went to the kitchen and drank a glass of water before heading back to the couch. Not long after I heard someone walk towards the living room. Nika was coming to get a glass of water. I pretended I was asleep and watched through my eyelashes every move she made. She walked to the kitchen and after some minutes she came back. She sat beside me and held my hand. She caressed it slowly and got closer to my ear. "thank you for everything" she whispered and got up leaving me there to go and sleep once again. After that I slowly started to feel the tiredness in me finally consume me leading me to sleep moments after. When I woke up I sat there for a bit trying to process my surroundings before I got up and went to the kitchen to make some coffee. Put on one of my headphones so I could hear if Nika woke up. Minutes later I poured some coffee on two mugs and waited for the brunette to get up. I checked my phone and saw that Paige had called me so I decided to call back. "Hey what's up" I asked lowly not wanting to disturb the other girl. "Not much. You know the usual. Wanna hang out today?" She asked and at that moment Nika walked out looking drop dead gorgeous "Um yeah sure I'm in" I said and I heard something fall and silence took over "Paige you good?" I asked and after a minute I heard "yeah something fell on my toe don't worry about it. Anyways if you can tell Muhl about the hangout and come meet us after practice okay?" She asked and I said yes before we hung up "Good morning Muhl" I said with a smile before giving her the mug. "good morning. Thanks" she mumbled as she sat down on the couch. "Are you feeling better?" I asked and she nodded with a small smile before she took a sip of her coffee. "Paige asked if we could hangout today after practice. You in?" I asked and she nodded slightly. "Practice's in an hour do you think you can take me?" She asked and I nodded as she smiled once again. "Okay I'm gonna go get ready and I'll be back" she said and I said okay before she left my eyesight.

Nika's pov

Waking up to the smell of fresh coffee and Shane's perfume was a really good start of the day. I tried to contain myself but all I could think about was how much I could be used to this morning. I was now changing so we could go to practice while my mind trailed off to yesterday. Nahiem stormed in shouting about me being a dyke and stuff like that. What was his problem anyway? It's been almost two months. My thoughts were interrupted by a knock on the door. "hey Muhl you ready?" Shane asked without walking in. "yeah you can come in!" I shouted and she opened the door. I was now putting my shirt on and saw her eyes drop to my abs for a second then back at my eyes. I smiled at the thought of her checking me out before saying "Should we go?" I asked and she nodded. She took her keys and I got my back before we left. The car ride was silent pretty much. Some soft Kanye playing through the speakers. Although it wasn't an awkward silence it was a comfortable one. Once we arrived at the gym she took my bag and opened the door for me. I blushed at her actions but tried not to show it much as we walked side by side. While we entered the gym I saw Paige and Azzi staring at us through the corner smiling like crazy making me shake my head. "I'll see you after practice gorgeous" she said and she gave me my bag before flashing me a smile and going out. I turned around and headed towards the locker room to change before Ines stopped me. "Niks hi. Um do you think you can help me with something?" She asked and I was a bit confused at first. I nodded with scrunched eyebrows as I followed her inside and I then understood what she wanted help with. "what are we doing now?" She asked lowly as we were met with a crying Aubrey. "Oh shit" I whispered and she nodded as we looked at Aubrey crying silently. "Aubrey what's wrong pookie?" I asked as I kneeled down in front of her. She looked at me dead in the eyes and said "She broke up with me". Excuse me. What? "What? When why?" I asked panicked as she had a really long and strong relationship. "She said she had feelings for someone else. I don't know what to do" she said trying to calm down but nothing could help her. "oh you poor thing" I whispered as I hugged her tightly and she gladly accepted the hug. "I think I know who she wants" she said and I pulled away curious "who?" I asked. "your girl. Shane. The player. She texted her last night too I saw it" and with that my world crashed. That was who she was texting. I really don't want to share the attention I'm getting from her and I need to make a move on her quickly but I just can't. I am shy to do it. But if it risks my chances with her I have to hurry up.

Heyyy babiess. So I will be chosing violence at some point cause apparently everyone seems to love testing me. Anyways I hope you like this chapter I think I might create some drama don't know yet.
