Paige's pov

"Soooo?? Tell me about everything!" I shouted excited as she entered the car. She laughed at my enthusiasm before shaking her head. "You can't wait for shit can you?" She said. "No so you better start like right now or imma die" i said with a huge smile on my face. "No Paige I'll tell you when we order! You will gonna have to be sitting if you want them details" she said. With that let's say i drove as fast as i could for the next ten minutes as we talked about how we spent our holidays. We entered the bar and slowly made our way to the stools. We took a seat and almost immediately a young girl came over to us. "Hi! I am Riley and I'll be your server tonight. What can I bring you?" She asked with a smile. Nika ordered a whiskey and I ordered a Shirley temple. With a smile she took the menus out of our hands and was on her way in no time. I turned to look at Nika and slowly winked at her with a smirk signalling i was ready to hear everything. "Okay so a lot has happened during this family friendly vacation so i need you to stay with me okay?" She said and i nodded as fast as i could. "Alright alright listen. She seemed a bit nervous. No cancel that. A LOT nervous about meeting my folks and especially my father. We made our way slowly to the house with the car my parents had left for us on the parking and when we finally arrived she carried everything to our room. Hashtag them back muscles are going to kill me" she said making us both laugh. "Yeah it's true. Her back-no HER MUSCLES are to die for" i commented making her nod with a huge smile. "Okay Paige I'm gonna let the fact that you're THIRSTING over my girlfriend pass and continue. So she was talking with my mom in the kitchen after dinner alright? They were talking and gossiping and cleaning the dishes. It was honestly such a cute moment to capture. Shane was talking about me to my mom and honestly if you had heard the words she would use you would have fallen for her as well man. When i made my way over there my mom left leaving us alone. She was looking at me dead in my eyes before she told me that she loved me. And i said i loved her back. Meanwhile i gotta say i was GEEKING you have no idea bro. Like you were giving candy to a child" she said with a grin on her face making me laugh as i bit my lip. "She said she loved you first. That's really important to her just so you know. She doesn't say stuff like that easily" I commented and she nodded agreeing with me. "I know. What I also know is how good she is at sex. You didn't tell me she was THAT good. I consider this betrayal Bueckers. Do you understand the fact that we went for six rounds after a tiring day? I mean if that's what i get after a day like that what will she do in a day when she is relaxed?!?" She said frustrated taking a sip of her drink. I laughed with my whole soul right then and there as i saw her start getting as red as the bar sign. "Ohh no no no don't be getting shy on me Mühl you got a lot to tell me. First of all how did she go with your family? I mean you said your mom loved her and all but how was the goodbye? Was there any emotion or just a plain bye" She looked at me and then at her drink. "I'll begin from the fact that she got everyone presents. She got my dad a fishing kit. I don't even know how she remembered i told her that. And she got Hana a Nike hoodie and my mom some pretty expensive shit for the kitchen. Like come on man how can she be real?" She siad and i laughed at her expression. "Don't laugh!!" She said only achieving to make me laugh even more. "Okay fuck you I'll keep talking you do whatever you want. As for the goodbye my mum hugged her and wished to see her again when i went to see them in summer and my father shook her hand with a smile and whispered something to her with a small smile and she said something back but i didn't hear what exactly. And of course Hana hugged her and she basically has become besties with her. Those two idiot. I honestly can't anymore with them" Nika said resting her head on her hand. "So what i am hearing is that this was a pretty successful holiday. Am i right?" I asked wiggling my eyebrows at her. She laughed at me before nodding making me laugh as well. I looked at my phone for a brief moment before my thoughts went back to the article. When I looked up Nika seemed a bit zoned out. She was clearly thinking about the same thing. So i just took the first step of bringing it up. "Um. Niks. About the article. What do we do? We can't hide it forever from her. She's gonna know" i saw the way she looked back at me. She knew i was right but only trying to say something like that to Shane could go wrong by her freaking out. She knew that Shane was pretty serious about stuff like these. "I don't know. I mean we sure have to tell her but it will crush her. She is already pushing herself a lot. We can't pressure her more" Nika explained worried. And she was right. If Shane learned about the rivalry she would go crazy. "It's not our choice to make though. If we keep this from her niks it can backfire at us" i warned. "You're right. I get it okay? But when she sees this she's gonna go berserk! The chances of her just getting up and moving in to the gym are really high. She's more obsessed in this deal even from you" Nika said her voice slightly raising over time. "Nika don't shout we're in public. Don't you think I know what my best god damn friend is capable of? I do! I'm just trying to keep my calm because believe me when i say that she will need to be in a calm and encouraging environment. We need to be there for her. And no we won't remind her of the situation in ANY way. Because if we do she's gonna flip out that even her friends and somewhat girlfriend are talking about it. You understand me?" I asked sounding like a mom to be honest but when the situation is this serious we need to act responsibly. She nodded at me looking away for a moment. Nika knew i was right. I was harsh but i was right. She fell silent for a bit. She looked at her phone and froze. She took a deep sip from her whiskey making me confused and scared at the same time. She closed her eyes and let out a breath while pinching the bridge of her nose. I knew that look. Just then a notification popped up on my phone as well. Hesitantly I looked at my screen and realised what she had seen.

"What are they even trying to do with this? Make her angry or disappointed in herself? What can they even gain from that?" Nika asked on the verge of tears. "They tryna make her quit. Or create drama. It's the usual tricks the media pulls until the season starts. Don't you remember last year me and Caitlin and this year with ju? It's the same shit every fucking year" i said letting my phone drop on the table. "She's not gonna react well to this is she?" Nika said picturing the chaos on ice. "No she won't. And what's worse is that we can't do anything about it other than support her every move" i admitted. She let out a huff before speaking up. "Should we get going? I don't think it's a good idea that we left her alone in the dorm. She can easily see the news and freak out" Nika checked her phone for possible phone calls but nothing could be found. I agreed with her getting up. We left the money on the book the girl had left us and made our way to my car. The drive home was silent. Nika didn't dare to look away from the window and neither did I look away from the road. The radio was on a random station talking about the weather while both me and Nika were in our own dimensions. Fifteen minutes later we finally reached the dorm. We both took a deep breath before I opened the door slowly and got in with Nika following behind. As we closed the door slowly we searched for Shane or anyone else in the dorm. The living room was empty. We went to Nika's room but Shane wasn't there anymore. Her sleeping figure was now replaced by shuffled sheets. We went to my room and saw Azzi laying on my bed with Shane curled up in her arms. "Don't you dare make a sound she just went to sleep" Azzi whispered warning us. Nika stood in the doorway still. Not moving a single muscle. Not tearing her eyes off of Shane. While i let out a small breath. "She read the articles didn't she?" I asked whispering. Azzi nodded slowly so as not to wake the sleeping girl up. Shane stirred all of a sudden making us all shut up until we heard the light snoring fill the room once again. I motioned for Nika to come with me in the living room before giving a peck on Azzi's lips. "Sleep on the couch in there. I'll be out here if anything happens. I know you want to be near her right now" i said already reading her face. She formed a tight lipped smile before hugging me as tight as she could. "Thank you p. Really. But are you sure?" she whispered and i nodded before wiping her tears off before squeezing her shoulder lightly signalling for her to head back inside. I made my way to Nika's room where Shane slept earlier just to see in what kind of state she was when she found out about the news. The sheets were shuffled. Stuff were allover the place. Books on the floor. It looked as if someone had fought in here. I sat on the bed and laid down staring at the ceiling. I figured that once the morning would come...which it would sooner or later, the storm would most likely explode. And by the storm i meant Shane. So the best i could do right now was rest. Cause tomorrow would be a big pain in the ass.

Soo i know i said i won't disappear but studies are fucked up okay? You know i love y'all.
