Shane's pov

As i woke up i opened my eyes having a raging headache. I groaned feeling my back sore and my eyes hurt from the light. I looked beside me to the empty spot in which my favourite brunette was laying last night. I got up and slowly walked to the bathroom to take some tylenol. I looked at my expression in the mirror and man was i looking like shit. I mean sure i haven't slept well in days except yesterday but still I didn't expect it to be this bad. I headed to the kitchen to make some coffee. Yet little did i know. Radio was on. The smell of eggs and bacon filled the room. And there she was. Swinging and dancing humming to the songs on the radio. I stood there observing her and trying to understand how haven't i made a move on her sooner. She is gorgeous. How is she so beautiful while wearing just a long shirt and boxers without any make up. She isn't even trying she just is stunning. She turned around and jumped a bit when she saw me. I laughed at her reaction while she placed her head in her hands. "Oh my god you scared the shit out of me!" She whined and i stepped closer to her laughing. I went to kiss her but she placed her finger on my lips with an eyebrow raised. "Shane. Have you brushed your teeth?" She asked with seriously. I slowly shook my head and she pushed me away. "Go brush your teeth stinky" she said smirking "oh come on just one kiss" i said trying to go back to her arms. "No you have to brush your teeth firsttt. You've got morning breath. I ain't trying to throw up first thing in the morning" she said moving the spatula to my face. "Hey that's harsh" i said looking sad. "I'm sorry baby juts go brush your teeth and I'll make it up to you" she said with a small pout yet smiling. How is that even possible dude. I just shook my head laughing going to brush my teeth. This girl i can't man. I made my way back to the kitchen and hugged her from the back. I kissed her neck and she giggled before turning around to kiss me properly. Once she did she pulled away with a huge smile on her face "now that's more like it" i said and she laughed before she slapped me lightly. "Hey what was that for" i asked as she turned around "I'm gonna burn your eggs if you don't stop" she said taking the pan out of the fire. She placed the food on a plate and placed the pan on the sink. She turned around and motioned me to sit down. And i listened for my own good. I took a bite of the bacon and immediately hummed to the taste. "Nika if you make me one more time a breakfast like this I'm gonna give you my children I don't care if we're both women" i said before stuffing my mouth with more food. I looked at her and saw she was red as a tomato with what i said making me laugh a bit. After we were done i helped her clean up and we sat down on the couch in the living room. "I like this" i said as she sat on my lap facing me. "Yeah?" She asked biting her lip a bit. I nodded eagerly and she smiled before she kissed me. My phone started ringing making her stop. "I swear to god man" i said as i saw that Paige was calling me. "Yeah?" I answered the phone. Nika started kissing down my neck making me breath heavier. "Hey are you with Nika? She's not answering my phone calls" Paige asked. I let out a breath as she found my sweet spot "um she's still sleeping why?" I asked trying to sound as normal as possible. Her cold hands were placed on my abs making jolt up a bit "alright then when she wakes up y'all wanna go to the gym with me?" She said. I bit my lip when she sucked on my collarbone "yeah sure" i said and we both said bye before i hung up on her. "You little.." i said and flipped us over while i pinned her hands on top of her head. "What you gonna do about it?" She said looking at me with a wicked smile. I smashed our lips together while with one hand i was holding her hands on top of her head and with the other i stabilized myself properly on top of her. I moved down her neck and started peppering kisses on her collarbone. She let out a sigh as i found her sweet spot and i eased my grip on her hands. Before she could do anything else i got up and saw her all flustered and confused. "Time to hit the gym Croatia" i said and with a smug smile i went to get ready. I heard her groan once i left the room making me chuckle. I texted paige that we were getting ready and that we would meet her there before i put on a white tank top with a sweater protecting me from the cold and some grey sweatpants. I put on my shoes and went to the living room waiting for Nika to get ready. I scrolled through tik tok until nika walked out. I looked up at her and ket me tell you she was gorgeous. "Look at you all pretty" i said with a smile while opening the door for her. She laughed slightly and we walked towards my car. She got inn and plugged her phone to the car putting on some music. "Text Paige so that she knows we're on our way" i told nika and she did as she was told. First time in the year she does what i tell her to do. She placed her hand on top of mine while i rested it in my lap. I smiled and threw her a look before refocussing on the road. "So is it just me or is Azzi and Paige kinda weird lately?" Nika asked as she put her phone down. "I know right? I mean they are all of a sudden in some sort of distance. What do you think happened?" I asked making a left. "I mean they are a bit weird in practice. They don't pass to eachother much and azzi keeps ignoring her most of the time. I don't know what happened but it is clearly Paige's fault" she said and i threw her a look "hey why does my best friend have to always be the one to blame? Why are you taking Azzi's side even if you don't know what happened?" I asked. She has never taken a side when these two were fighting. Why now? "Because for Azzi to be avoiding Paige all the time i think it's pretty clear it's Paige's fault" she simply said. "Well knowing Paige i would think that there must've been a simple misunderstanding and both of them are being idiots dor not clearing it up" i said as we entered the gym's garage. Once we got out of the car I texted Paige that we had arrived and she told us she waited in the entrance . Nika and i said that we would try and figure out what was going on cause honestly we just wanna help our two best friends out. It pains me to see Paige be like this. "Hey man what's up?" I asked as i hugged her. "Nothing much same old same old" she said with an emotionless expression. I threw a look at Nika to see if we were seeing the same Paige and when she nodded i clapped my hands "okay then let's go and grow this muscles" and with that all three of us went inside. We decided to hit arms today so after i did some exercises so i wouldn't be too sore later i made my way to the dumbbells. 15kgs were always my to go weigh. I started doing my exercise while also watching Paige in the bench press. I wanted to make sure she wouldn't get hurt. At some point she looked like she was actually struggling. I threw the weights down and run to her getting the bar up again to it's place. She took off her headphones and let out a few breaths. I looked around and saw that Nika was on the treadmill so I didn't bother her for now. "Dude you gotta tell me what's going on. This ain't the Paige i know" i said my voice fully sounding concerned about the blonde in front of me. "It's nothing just leave me alone for now" she said shrugging it off and getting up to walk and get some water. I stood there observing her when i felt a tap on my shoulder. "What happened?" Nika asked also concerned. "She won't say. So i am guessing what Azzi is about to tell you ain't going to be good" i said as i saw that Azzi was calling Nika. "I.. better get this then" she said and got in some distance before answering the phone. I sighed trying to shake away the feeling of disappointment in Paige who didn't want to tell me what was happening and i decided to hit the pull ups bar. It always made me forget my problems when i was doing oull ups. It was my favourite exercise. Although even while doing them my mind still was stuck in how Paige looked like. She wasn't afraid or even surprised at all when she couldn't lift the bar. Suddenly my phone buzzed. It was the group chat we had with my team. They said we had practice this evening. I smiled at the messages my idiot teammates were sending and told them I would be there. It was now 12 o'clock and practice starts at 5 so i had plenty of time ahead. I looked around and saw that nika was now approaching me so I put my phone in my pocket and made my way over her "I have practice at 5. Wanna come to mine after?" I asked as i placed my hands on her hips softly. "Yeah sure" she said softly with a smile. "I want to go shower though cause I don't have practice today and i want to be comfy. So what i am saying is take me home cause there's no way in hell that i go over there alone. Bring Paige too i don't care" she said and i nodded signalling her that i would do as she told me. She then pecked my lips and went to get her stuff leaving me there dumbfounded. I guess that's a new thing now huh?
