Nika's pov

I was trying to piss her off real bad today. I was looking at her like I wanted her to fuck me but once we talked I proved her that I didn't need her to feel good. I was now sitting on the couch legs crossed eating a slice of pizza while we kept eye contact. I knew she wanted to say or do something right now but too bad Azzi and Paige were here. "So how was practice today?" She asked Paige her eyes not leaving mine. "It was good. Geno made us run a lot though. She was in her world she didn't speak or look away from the ball. And Azzi was being Azzi" Paige listed off making me snap my head at her direction. I didn't think she would say that. "What does that mean? Azzi what did you do?" Shane asked now looking at our curly haired friend. "Nothing Paige's just being a hater" she said shrugging and they started arguing as a joke as Shane return her gaze to me. I smirked knowing that I had her wrapped around my finger. "I don't know about y'all but I'm excited about Croatia. Basketball and ice hockey team is going to crash it!" Shane said making my eyes widen "wait wait hold on. What do you mean?" I asked even though I knew exactly what she meant. She threw me a smile innocently "Y'all have a tournament exactly the same time as we are with the same teams. So we will be all together in the same hotel. And I'm sure they won't mind if we change seats at the bus" she said smirking. Oh no. That is not going to end well. I don't think I can trust myself if we end up ok the same bus let alone in the same room. "YO WE GONNA HAVE A GOOD TIME" Paige said hyped up and soon followed Azzi agreeing both completely forgetting my whole situation with Shane. "that's gonna be interesting" I murmured but I'm sure she heard it cause she was looking at me while smiling. "I'm gonna go to the bathroom. Don't do anything stupid while I'm gone" I said before getting up and heading towards our bathroom. I needed some time to breath. Away from the so called player that had me slightly trapped in her little game. I closed my eyes and placed my hands on the sink trying to gather my thoughts. "Whatchu thinking about?" I heard a voice behind me making me jump a bit before opening my eyes to see Shane behind me through the mirror. "Do you know what privacy means?" I asked and she laughed before saying "You tell me you slept in my dorm. Do I know what privacy is?" She asked pretty close to my ear making me let out a shaky breath. "Yeah you do" I answered trying to get rid of her. I didn't trust myself around her alone. "You know you try so hard to convince me you don't need me but you so clearly do" she said as her right hand rested on my hip. I looked at her through the mirror only to see her look back at me. I knew she was right. She knew exactly what she was doing. "I don't know what you're talking about. I can easily feel good without your help. I don't see how you could do any better" I said now turning around to face her. She looked at me skeptical for a moment. I sat on the sink my legs opening slightly as she looked at every move I made. "you're not playing a fair game" she warned her eyes darkening at the sight while she stood close to me "oh yeah? Why?" I asked and she tilted her head before she pushed herself towards me making my legs open all the way with her standing in the middle. Her hands were now on my thighs and I think any slight movement would make me lose control. But I was determined on showing her I didn't need her. Even if I wanted her bad right now. Her hands rested on my thighs as a small smile appeared on her face. She knew this was difficult for me and she loved it. "You don't know I can do better cause you haven't tried already" she whispered in my ear before slightly pulling away inches apart from my face. I could feel her hands slowly rub my thighs but I tried to keep my composure. "Bummer" I let out and she pushed herself towards my center with a bit of force. That made me bite my lip so as to not let any other sounds come out. She smirked at my reaction but before we could do anything someone knocked on the door. "Y'all I gotta go in there now!" Azzi said and I could hear a small groan leave Shane's throat. I smirked before getting out first as Shane followed behind me. Paige looked at me with a small smile and I laughed at her expression before flopping down to the couch. "When are we leaving for Croatia?" I asked Paige and she looked at me skeptical before replying "in four days. Shit I need to do laundry I don't got no clothes for that shit" she said in a panic making me laugh. Although I haven't done laundry either so that's fucked. I need to get to it. "okay then I'll leave y'all be I need to go get some coffee and study a bit. See y'all later" I said before winking at Shane and leaving the room. I walked to the nearest coffee shop before I got a cappuccino and got to my dorm. I didn't lie earlier I did have to study cause lately I haven't been doing a lot of that so if I didn't study now we would have problems in the near future. I sat down and tried to concentrate on this essay I had. But guess who was running through my mind the whole time. A certain brunette. "Oh my god why is this so hard" I groaned as I put my head into my hands thinking about all of my life choices

Shane's pov

I am fucked. The least. That woman has some kind of power over me I can't function properly around her. "Earth to Shane? You there?" Someone said snapping their fingers at me. As I got out of my trance I saw Paige and Azzi looking at me while smiling but also cuddling. Weird. "Huh? What?" I asked and they looked at each other before nodding. "Y'all are being weird" I said trying to get back into the conversation. "Us weird? You came back from the bathroom while being with Nika in there for like ten minutes and now you're all spaced out. You got it bad for her don't you Brocker" Azzi said and all I could do was sigh. I had to admit she would often capture my mind lately and I couldn't focus on anything else but her. "I don't know. I am trying to figure out my shit okay?" I said and they both nodded. "You should ask her out. You know at a restaurant or at the beach. Show her you're interested" Paige said making me think about the idea. It was not bad. I mean I could ask her to the beach or tell her to come over watch a movie or something. "Yeah you right. I have to think about it though" I said and they both agreed. We hung out for a few more hours before I decided to leave and get back at my dorm. I got in the shower and had a cold bath trying to keep the certain brunette out of my mind but nothing seemed to work. I got out of the shower and put some comfortable clothes on before flopping on my bed. It was now around 7 pm and I didn't have much to do. Ava was still at her girlfriend's place and I was all alone. You know it would be a good time killer to go have a drink at the bar. Not too many you know just something casual. But in the other hand I just got changed and I was really bored to get out of bed so I decided to leave it for another time. I turned on the tv and decided to watch a bit of grey's anatomy. I haven't had the time to watch it lately so know is a good time to binge watch my favorite show. I made some scrambled eggs real quick while music played on the background. I was in my own world at the moment. I sat down at the couch and opened the tv since I decided to watch it in the living room and not my bedroom. Halfway through the third episode I had already finished my plate and was now sprawled out to the couch truly invested in the episode. "Holy shit" I whispered to myself as I saw O'Malley writing on Meredith's hand. Not long after i heard my phone buzz and I grabbed it to see who it was.

Well now that was weird. How did she even get my number? She probably asked Paige or sum but still. I put on some grey sweatpants and a white hoodie and left my dorm heading to her building. My thoughts were scattered around my brain wondering why she told me to go over if she could ask literally her whole team. A mental war was happening inside my brain but of course nothing mattered than to see if she was okay. I finally reached her dorm and knocked on the door. I waited for a while before I heard someone shout but before I could react I heard something break. Like a vase or something. "Okay that's it" I said to myself and burst through the door only to be met with a man fuming and Nika up against the kitchen aisle wearing short shorts and a bra. "What the fuck?" The man said looking at me. I was confused to say the least. "Get out" I said firmly not showing my confuses side. The man laughed a bit before looking me dead in the eyes. "Or what you bitch?" He asked and I picked him by his collar and pinned him against the nearest wall. "Or I'm gonna break every single bone of yours. Get out and don't go near her again" I said nonchalantly not showing the boiling anger I had inside me. I let him go and he left with hesitation. My eyes followed him until the door was closed. Once we were done with that I turned around and saw Nika looking at the floor silently. "Nika. Who was that?" I asked stepping closer to her slowly. "Muhl what happened?" I asked again. She shook her head like she didn't wanna tell me but soon I found out she was silently crying. My heart broke at the sight "No darling. No" I said as I pulled her in for a hug. She started shaking while sobbing and holding my hoodie tightly for comfort. Oh my god this isn't going to be easy.
