"Shouldn't you go with Ace and Deuce to practice for auditions," I ask Grim. He stayed behind while Ace and Deuce went back to the gym to practice with the help of Jamil and Kalim.

"I already have the moves memorized," Grim states. "I don't need to practice as much as those two."

"If you say so," I sigh. Grim's words had confirmed my suspicion about why he decided to grab more food for himself.

"Hey, Y/n, Grim," Epel greets as he approaches the table we were at. "Is this seat taken?"

"You can have it," I smile at Epel. "It's good to see you again. Especially after seeing your housewarden drag you away the other day."

"He's quite serious about the SDC," Epel says. "Anyways, there is a reason why I came over here."

"You wanna pick a fight," Grim growls.

"Grim, calm down," I scold Grim, and he relaxes some. "What's up Epel?"

"I would like to invite you to Harveston," Epel answers.

"You already extended an invitation to me during Halloween," I say.

"We are leaving tomorrow then," Epel smiles.

I almost fell out of my chair; "hold on, what do you mean tomorrow?"

"There is a festival happening this weekend, and my family asked me to be there for it," Epel explains. "And since you want to bring up our Halloween conversation, we are family. So it does make sense that you would come with me."

"I can't argue with that logic," I let out a soft laugh. "I might need some help packing, though. I'm not really sure what to bring."

"I can help with that," Epel offers. "I can swing by your dorm after school to help you."

"Hold on a minute," Grim interrupts. "Don't you have to focus on the auditions? I doubt your housewarden would let you leave."

"I already have permission from the headmage," Epel grins. "All I have to do now is find three people to come with me."

"Why would you need to bring others with you," I question.

"It's for the annual sled race," Epel explains. "People get in teams of four and compete to see who can reach the finish line the fastest. Meemaw asked me to bring some friends from school for my team. She was all like, 'You musta made a whole heap o' friends by now. How 'bout bringin' some 'round? Y'all young'uns can liven up the race!' But it's such short notice, I don't even know who to invite."

"Couldn't you just ask Vil and Rook," Grim questions. "They're in your dorm."

"Look at that," I laugh. "You can remember people's names."

"Shuddup," Grim growls at me.

"I mean, I could, but..." Epel pauses, lost in his own thoughts. "...On second thought, that's not gonna work! There have to be other options, right?"

"You could just leave it up to chance and ask the first people you see," Grim suggests.

"That doesn't seem like the best idea," I sigh.

"Hey, Sebek," Grim calls out to the Diasomnia student.

"What do you want," Sebek questions.

"Um, hello..." Epel quietly greets Sebek. "I didn't see you sitting there. So, I'm sorry to just spring this on you, but the thing is..."
