A Fox Surrounded in Darkness (Twisted Wonderland x Encanto f!reader)

(Request) Malleus Valentines' Special

Lilia watches Malleus sulk to his room after classes ended for the day. The little fox has not been back to the dorm since the spectral realm fiasco. Lilia knew that Sebek frequently spent time with the fox, but outside of that, there was no interaction with the rest of the group. Lilia missed the presence of the fox and knows that Malleus does as well.

❚█══Flashback══█❚

"Kit, I've been meaning to ask about your friend," Malleus tries to approach the Ramshackle fox. She looks over at Malleus with a blank expression, and she walks away in the opposite direction. The few students that the fox was talking to look between her fleeting figure and Malleus. 

"Whoa, I can't believe she ignored Malleus Draconia..." One of the students whisper, even though it was pointless. Both Malleus and the fox heard what was being said. 

"How is she still alive," another student asks.

"If it was anyone else they would be dead on the spot," a third student comments, slightly glaring at the small silhouette of the fox.

"I don't really understand why you are ignoring us." Silver sighs, finally catching the fox while he was awake. "Malleus and Fa-Lilia  have already apologised for the Halloween fiasco, I don't know what else they can do."

"It doesn't matter that they apologised," the fox sighs. "I'm still upset about them dragging Mirabel into the mess."

"Your friend said that she went willingly," Silver defended the actions of his Housewarden and Vice-Horsewarden.

"She will agree to anything!" The fox throws her hands up in frustration. "She literally went on a crazy quest to save her family's miracle. Like who even thinks of doing something like that? We nearly died a few times, just for the casita to collapse at the end. She's lucky everything was fixed at the end and got her happy ever after!!"

"Are you okay, Y/n," Silver questions as he sees tears well up in the fox's eyes.

"It's not fair," the fox softly cries. "Why does she get a happy ending? Why is she always okay and I'm not?"

"I don't understand," Silver frowns as the Ramshackle fox runs away from him.

"Sebek," Lilia finds Sebek training  with Silver outside the dorm. "We need to have a discussion." Sebek stops training and walks over to Lilia with a questionable look on his face.

"Is something the matter," Sebek asks Lilia.

"I am concerned about Malleus," Lilia admits with a sigh. "He has been moping around since Halloween."

"WHO IS THE CAUSE OF THE YOUNG MASTER'S PAIN?!" Sebek exclaims. "I shall reprimand them instant!"

"I'm afraid that wouldn't help," Lilia frowns.

"Are you talking about Y/n not being around as often?" Silver enters the conversation.

"That's correct, Silver," Lilia answers. "I'm not quite sure how to help her."

⦕The next day...⦖

"I'm not sure this is a good idea," Malleus sighs as he hears Lilia's plan.

"Trust me," Lilia smiles. He believes that he created a fool proof plan to fix the rift between Malleus and the Ramshackle fox.

⦓Library⦔

"Hey, Viperfish," Floyd greets the fox. He was standing over her while she sat at a table reading a book. "Whatcha readin'?"

"It's about the King of Halloween," the fox replies, not taking her eyes off the book.

"Huh," Floyd was unimpressed. "What's so special about him?"

"Well, it's fascinating that—" The fox was cut off by Silver taking the book from across the table. She looks at him in disbelief as he walks away. "What is your problem?!"

"That's unexpected," Floyd laughs. "You better go catch him Viperfish!" The fox sighs as she gets up from the chair and follows Silver's scent. She follows his scent out the library and frowns. Her plans for the day were entirely ruined and she was not happy.

Silver was down the hallway when he started to change his mind about Lilia's plan. He doesn't think that the reaction of the Ramshackle student will be favorable. A few times since talking to her, he has heard angry phone calls he presumes was with her friend. Silver descends the staircase, taking a peak at the bottom to see Sebek waiting for him.

⦓Empty Classroom⦔

"What the fuck is going on?!" The fox exclaims. Sebek and Silver had lead her to an empty classroom, not answering any of her questions.

"Kit," Malleus calls out to the fox. He was sitting in one of the classroom seats.

"I don't want to speak to you," I growl and try to leave the room. I went to open the door but it won't budge. "Hey, why won't this door open?"

"You're not leaving this room without speaking to the young master," Sebek voices booms from the otherside of the door.

"You can't to that," I yell at Sebek.

"Look, I understand your anger," Malleus spoke as he rose from his seat and made his way over to me.

"Understand my anger?!" I whip myself around to face Malleus. "You know nothing about my anger!"

"I believe that we should talk," Malleus sighs. "You are full of anger and sadness and I just want to help you."

"I don't exactly know where to start," I frown.

"We can start here..." Malleus opens his arms inviting me in for a hug. I look at his face to see if he had any hidden motives, but I didn't find anything. I crack a small smile and accepts his invite for the hug. 

⦓Outside the Classroom⦔

"The first part of the plan is complete," Lilia smiles, looking at Sebek and Silver. "I have an extensive plan for the next couple of years to get the two together. This will be so much fun!"

"Don't you think that's a bit much," Silver questions.

"Not at all, my boy," Lilia chuckles.
