New York, United States
July

Tiredly, I snuggled into her blanket and grabbed her temples, which I gently massaged. My stomach ached terribly and I felt like I was throwing up my soul at any moment. I closed my eyelids and covered my mouth. My head hurt constantly and I was getting more and more nervous and exhausted.

So many things were running through my mind.

I was so confused and scared about everything. I wanted it all to end.

I couldn't control...

I raised my heavy head and looked at Molly, who was still typing away on her laptop. I wasn't interested, I didn't want to know what dirty things he does.

Is she really bad?

I would never say such a thing about Molly. She wasn't the best student, but she wasn't the worst either. She was fine as a friend. It's true that we didn't know many things about each other, but I knew her for three years.. or rather she didn't know her.

Now I was beginning to notice that he had many secrets. What the hell did she get herself into? What the hell have we gotten ourselves into?

I jumped off the couch and ran straight to the bathroom. My head was really spinning. I squatted down to the toilet and threw up the contents of my empty stomach. I leaned back and wiped my mouth with the other hand.

"Are you okay?" Molly yelled. I stood up slowly and rinsed my mouth.

"I'm just nervous!" I said irritably as I walked back to my seat. She raised her hands in a defensive gesture and laughed. "Something funny to you?" I growled.

"Jesus, calm down. I'm going to order food, can you get something?" I shook my head. I can't put anything in my upset stomach. The thought of food made me want to throw up.

"You should eat. When was the last time you ate?" I closed my eyes and searched my head for the memory of the last time I ate.

"I don't know," I shrugged, "did you find something or what are you doing? When is Shannon coming back?"

"You do something and Shannon will come back," I narrowed my eyes.

"What should I do?" I asked.

"You're going-" she was interrupted by the sound of the doorbell. I stood up and walked to the front door with a blanket, which I absentmindedly opened and immediately stopped. My eyes widened and I had to blink a few times.

"Matthew?" I looked at him with wide eyes.

"Can you fucking explain to me why your phone is off?" he entered the apartment.

"What? Broke - what are you doing here?" I didn't understand.

"No one can call you. I left you at least ten calls."

"What happened? Why are you in New York?" he laughed.

"Shannon's in the hospital," I gasped, "she's in very critical condition." the whole world shook with me. My heart skipped a beat.

"Lacey, who's here?" Molly called from the living room.

"You will help us and Shannon will survive," her face appeared before my eyes.

Shannon is in the hospital.

"Shannon, nothing will happen, they promised," her voice echoed in my ears.
