"Shannon, are you listening to me?!" I huffed as a pillow landed on my head, ,,fuck you too! You're not listening to me at all!" She growled, stomping her foot like a little kid. I rolled my eyes and reluctantly turned my head towards her. I raised an eyebrow, waiting to see what would come out of her.

"Are you finally going to start noticing me?" I rolled my eyes again, this time dodging the flying pillow.

"Stop throwing those pillows at me!" She squinted her eyes.

"I'm pretty pissed off about you not wanting to go. Don't try to piss me off even more, Shannon! What kind should I get?" She asked, holding the red thin strapless dress and the white strapless dress up to her perfect body.

"Red." I said and she raised her eyebrows.

"Um, no. The white one is prettier, don't you think?" She asked me and I rolled my eyes.

"Why are you asking me if you're going to wear different ones anyway?" She shrugged.

"Shannon, are you sure you don't want to come with us?" She turned to me and I shook my head.

"No, Lacey, I really need to finish this. I don't have much time for this anymore." She quirked an eyebrow.

"Why, Daddy pays for everything you need, so I don't understand?" It was clear to me that she wouldn't understand. She had other goals, so I in turn understand her.

"It's not about the money, it's about what I can achieve if I get it." I didn't want to live in my father's shadow, I wanted to achieve something without his help.

I've really been reading a lot about him lately, and he's the most luxurious firm in all of New York. It's also highly rated by Maddison Caroll, a well-known journalist, and that's saying something.

"Well, whatever, but it's too bad you're not going,' I put the book down on the coffee table. She was right, that white dress looked divine on her. She walked over to the bathroom door, "Leon will be there too." She didn't give up, but she didn't have a chance. I was determined to finish this today. Plus, I really didn't care that much about the party on Friday night.

"I hate him." I told her, but she just laughed. Well okay not exactly true, but still. I'm not gonna change my mind about some guy. Plus he was a complete idiot.

"There's a fine line between hate and love. Or something like that." She said as she walked out of the bathroom. I crossed my arms over my chest and laughed.

"Really?" She waved her hand.

"You're the one who's always reading those boring romance books, you should know that, shouldn't you." she laughed. I shook my head, ,,girl, you need a good fucking!"

"I won't listen to this Lacey, have a good time and say hello to Molly. I'll leave your keys in the potty if you happen to come home," I stood up from the bed, ,,and don't you dare come in like a bulldozer! You still haven't bought me that vase you broke a month ago. I'm thinking about it. Bye!" I opened the bathroom door and walked in. I turned on the hot water and stripped. I lay down in the tub and tilted my head.

I love the hot tub, and the silence. After taking an hour long bath and reading the last chapter, I showered and got out of the tub. I wiped myself with a towel and brushed my teeth. I ran my hand over the fogged mirror and watched my reflection in the mirror.

Am I weird if I sit at home on Fridays and study? I closed my eyes and took a deep breath. I walked out of the bathroom and was surprised I didn't have a heart attack.

"What are you doing here,' I yelled. He wanted to say something, but he seemed to be stuck in motion. With his eyes rolled and his mouth open, he looked me all over, , "stop ogling me!" I yelled, trying to pull the towel tighter to my body.

"So-sorry. Lacey let me go." He quickly turned around and covered his eyes. That bitch one! You're gonna make me pay for this!

"What do you want here?" I reached for the blanket and covered myself all over with it.

"I wanted to apologize to you. I have something for you." He pointed to the table by the couch. I frowned when I saw a large white box on the table.

"What is that? I don't want anything from you at all. Take it and get out." I don't know why I was being so obnoxious, but holy shit, I was almost half naked in his presence!

"Don't be so stubborn, just say thank you." and took off before I could say anything back. I stared at the door for a while. I shook my head in disbelief and walked over to the table where my new MacBook was sitting with a small message.

May it serve you well. LEON

I didn't know whether to laugh, cry, or be angry. I went back to my tablet, I only had a few pages left, so I was hoping to finally close it today. I really wanted this internship. I might not get an opportunity like this again. I worked until my eyes closed on their own and I fell into dreamland.

I woke up to a small knock on the door and muffled words I didn't quite understand. I glanced at the clock, which read half past five in the morning. My best friend is asleep. Where's that filthy hole! Won't you help me?" She pounded on the door with her fist.

"Let me see." A man's voice echoed. I opened the door and if it wasn't for the man holding it, we would have both hit the hard ground.

"Shannon," she yelled and I frowned, "Shannon, didn't we wake you up?"

"I'll take care of her now." I said, taking her from him.

"Shannon, this is Aaron with a capital P, Aaron this is my best friend. Meet you." She laughed and threw her arms around my neck.

"Good night." He said and he was gone.

"Come on." I said and together we walked to her room where I changed her into her pajamas and put her to bed. I wanted to lie down in my own bed, but her hand stopped me.

"Stay with me."

"Okay." I kissed her on the forehead and snuggled up to her.
