New York, United States
AugustWith my eyes squinted and my arms crossed, I ran my finger along my upper lip and thoughtfully watched the illuminated photos of the world in my study, where only Maximiliano and Jamie were allowed to enter. We still haven't caught the traitor who delivers to the Seven, so I wanted to be sure.
I have carefully reviewed all the materials collected in these last days and researched them in detail. If I didn't like something or, God forbid, it didn't seem right, I wrote it down and later the guys and I came back to it.
I have to admit that we were finally moving somewhere. No one knew as much information about the Base as was written in that mysterious book, but one thing was running through my mind.
What did my father have to do with the Seven and the Base, because his name came up quite often?
"William?" Jamie's voice pulled me out of my thoughts, but I still didn't take my head off the photo. "I have what you wanted from Sergei." that got my full attention.
"I'm listening," I invited him.
"She met someone a week ago, but you can't see that person's face. I'm almost certain it's Seven. He also hacked into her cell phone, but nothing important was there. He also deciphered the calls, but Seven never contacted her." I frowned.
"In that case it's not her," I clenched my fist and ran out of the office like a raging bull, which I fucking was, "Vanessa!" I screamed at the whole house until I felt it shake. She ran out of her room and I grabbed her elbow.
"William? Is something wrong?" she spoke in a scared voice as we walked to my room. I pushed her into the room and slammed the door.
"You don't have Marcus or Damarius or anyone else here to protect you anymore," I growled, "now knock out everything you know or there's nothing stopping me from putting a bullet through your head." if it wasn't his sister, I would have killed her the day she entered my house. I walked towards her and she started backing away, but she had nowhere to run from.
It was just me and her.
Her face changed from surprised to scared. However, the red lights kept flashing in my head telling me it was his sister. I didn't want to, but there was no other way.
He swore allegiance to me.
There were certain things that I never forgave anyone - betrayal - everyone would pay for it with their own life.
"Shall I untie your tongue, Vanessa?" I spoke in Spanish. I pulled a gun from my belt behind my back and pointed it at her. "This might help you, am I right?" I charged.
"She gave me a choice, either kill me or I can leave in exchange for information about you, but I swear I didn't tell her anything important."
"On your knees and hands on your thighs!" I ordered her and she obeyed. "Who's bringing her?" I growled.
"I don't know, I swear I don't know anything." I tilted my head to the side and measured it all.
You will die today. I thought to myself.
"Vanessa, I'm going to kill you and you know I'm not playing with you. Say what you know!" I growled at her like a rabid dog. I wanted to see her dead, but before that I needed some information, which I probably won't be able to get from the dead.
"I don't know anything. She didn't tell me anything."
"Fine, you chose," I grabbed her by the elbow again and dragged her from the room to the hallway, "Jamie!" I screamed.
"Yes, William?" he came out of the office and then measured me and Vanessa.
"Drag her to the station." I threw her at his feet and returned to the room. I was about to break something, but a woman's voice stopped me.
"William," I stopped and turned to her, "I need to meet with Shannon."
