New York, United States
May

I closed my eyes and tilted my head back. I enjoyed the water flowing all over my naked body. I loved my morning shower because it always calmed me down. I ran my hands over my body and breathed deeply. I rubbed my face and showered with summer water. I wiped myself with a towel that I wrapped around my body. I went to the sink and smeared my body with cream - a forest mixture.

I brushed my teeth and put a mask on my face. I blow-dried and combed my hair. I made two small braids in the front and took off the mask. I rinsed my face and applied cream. I trimmed my eyebrows and combed out my eyelashes. I quietly entered my room and went to the closet. I pulled out a black turtleneck and pale blue pants with a black belt. I got dressed and fixed the gold chain. I sprayed myself with perfume and put on a white coat with black pumps. I took a small purse and went to her room.

"Lacey, get up! You have practice today," I whispered and she pouted, "Lacey, can you hear me? Get up!" I rubbed her and she opened one eye.

"Not yet," she snorted and covered herself with the duvet.

"I have to go, get up," she mumbled something, "Lacey, I don't understand you." she revealed herself.

"Do you have any lectures?" she rolled her eyes.

"Only two. I'm going, take care." I waved to her and left the apartment. Even though it was May weather, it wasn't warm at all. I pulled my coat closer to my body and went to the other side.

I raised my hand, "taxi!" I shouted. Not even two minutes later, a yellow car stopped next to me, I got in and dictated the address.

I took out my tablet and studied material for the final exam. The trip to the bookstore didn't take as long as I thought.

I watched the skyscrapers from the window. I adored the city of New York. It was my dream city, but once Lacey and I moved here, I quickly learned that the traffic here is horrendous, so I don't have a car. When the car stopped, I handed the man the money and got out. I breathed in the New York air and entered the small publishing house. I smiled at the saleswoman, who, when she saw me, sparkled in her eyes. She was an elderly lady whom I often visited in the third semester. Now I don't have as much time as I did then. I put her favorite candy on the counter.

I paid for my book and learned an interesting piece of information - her younger son is getting married.

"I'll come again, so goodbye and have a nice day," I waved at her.

Right across the street was a cafe where I ordered afternoon tea and put my things on the table. This was my last exam and then I had my bachelor's thesis - I was already at the end of it. After drinking my tea, reading the last notes, I packed my things and left for school.

It only took me a few minutes to get there, since the cafe was just a few blocks from the University. I looked at my watch and when I realized that I was late again, I increased my pace. I took the stairs two at a time again. I entered the auditorium and sat next to James.
