Hazel's Pov

"We're going to make them regret this," Tash said with determination.

"But How?" I asked, raising an eyebrow. "You'll know soon enough, babe," Tash said, grabbing my arm and dragging me along.

*****************************************

Though Tash was determined, I couldn't help but feel uneasy about the whole situation. I sighed, glancing ahead to see the cherry-haired girl pulling Hyden along with her. the sight only fuelling the anger burning inside me. why can't she keep her hands to herself.

With frustration still bubbling,we walked toward where the beach party was happening, and it felt like we'd stepped into a different world. The area was lit up with colourful lights, and there were more people around, enjoying the night in the beach. The music was loud, and the crowd was live.

David guided us through the crowd to a table near the bar counter. Hyden and Kevin sat across from us, with the two girls by their side laughing and giggling making my stomach scrunch up.

I noticed Sydney talking to Hyden, but I caught him looking at me for a moment. As soon as he realized I had noticed, he quickly turned his attention back to Sydney, making her laugh at what sounded like a pretty lame joke.
I couldn't help but roll my eyes.
Was his joke really that funny, or was she just laughing to impress him? Either way, it was getting on my nerves.

Tash nudged me, pulling me out of my thoughts. "Can you stop showing them you're interest?" she mumbled. I must have been more obvious than I realised, my frustration was probably written all over my face.

"I'm not interested in them," I muttered, trying to mask the frustration on my face. "He can do whatever he wants. Like if I care." Tash's lips curled into a knowing smirk.

"Sure, you don't care," she teased, then leaned in closer, lowering her voice.

"We still have the chance, we still have Davis. We can use him to make them jealous."

I glanced at her, catching the mischievous glint in her eyes. It was clear she was determined to turn the situation around, and a part of me couldn't help but feel a little tempted by the idea.

"We shouldn't let them play our game by their rules" Tash whispered in my ear with a playful grin. She stood up, her voice suddenly louder. "So, who's up for a drink?" she asked, deliberately ignoring Kevin who were talking to Amanda probably to get her attention.

"Me" I replied, catching her hint, and she flashed me a hidden smirk.

"You are not going to drink," I heard Hyden's firm voice cut through the air. I shot him a glare. "Who are you to decide that?" I muttered, locking eyes with him as he bit the inside of his cheek with a hardened silent gaze.

Sydney looked shocked at Hyden's sudden opposition, and I couldn't help but smirk at her as well.
Enjoy it while it lasts, I whispered under my breath, noticing the way she was glaring at me like I had stolen her man now. My eyes rolled naturally. Does she really think she can compete with me? She's got it all wrong. Poor girl doesn't realise she's already caught in the devil's game. I thought giving her a fake smile.

"I'll get us drinks," Davis said with a smile. I returned his gesture with an overly sweet smile just for Hyden's to see. Then Tash and I began talk, making a point to ignore the ridiculous laughter coming from sydney and Amanda. Despite our efforts to tune them out, I could feel Hyden's gaze burning into me from across the table, even though he was seemingly engrossed in conversation with Sydney. His intense stare was almost palpable, and it only fuelled my resolve to remain unbothered.
