Chapter 16

Hazel's Pov

Secretly sobbing I covered my mouth to muffled my sobs,tears pooling on my eyes as some overflowed while wetting my cheeks. Don't laugh at me. I know we are separating for few weeks but im sad. Even though we are going to  separate for a brief time. I couldn't stop my tears. Things wouldn't be same as now, once i moved to there, i don't know what kind of life held me there.

" Haz, are you going to stay in the bathroom for the whole day huh?" Tash's voice boomed from the other side of the door as quickly snapped to the direction

"Wait I'm coming" wiping the tears from the back of my hand I splashed some water to my face as I was looking like a zombie.I put the towel in to the basket after wiping my face then open the bathroom door and peeked into the Tash's room..

She was on the bed while looking into something from her lap top..

"Babe come faster see I have got an email from the university informing me about the physical interview which they will conduct on 28th December next week.It's saying that I have been selected.. she was excited and somewhat surprised as well as
Let's check your mails come"
Tash was so excited, so I was.

"Wait I will check it from phone"I hurriedly unlocked my phone only to see two notifications on the mail box

Miss Hazel Devins

Congratulations you have been selected for the university of Southern California
Your  physical interview which will be conducted on 
28 th of December .
Confirmed your participation via a mail to us and the bellow attachment is  about the formalities of the university and the dress codes for the interview also provided

That's what was in the mail as my eyes flickered back to her..
"What am I going to do now?"
"Okay babe you will have to move in their place from next week, and then we can spend our new year together.moving to LA would not be a bad thing right?Let's confirmed our participation to them first Haz"

She was excited and babbling non stop. On the other hand, I was confused about what will going to happen now so do I have to move into aunt kathy's home and even without mom?

Biting my lips I took a call to mom while Tash was doing her happy dance. She was so happy because until now she thought she would not be able to get into the university as her marks weren't enough. i waited mom to pick up the phone as me ears are now earning for her voice

"Yes honey?"her soft yet tired voice came from the other side
"Mom i have selected for the university "it's not like I'm not happy about the achievement but I'm worrying about the next step what would be little did not knowing my entire life is going to change..
"Aww that a happy news honey, first confirm your participation and we can discuss other things at home right..I will come there in a few hours to send off our Tash.."
"Okay mom" i said with a small voice as my mind wasn't ready to accept this

"Babe I know you are worrying, you are worrying about how to fit into this new situation.. it's okay you know I also have first felt strange when I came to live here.first I felt like  I'm a stranger here but aunt Fanny changed that mindset of me..she treated me more like my mom you know that.."
So don't worry too much, you are sweet and kind and I know what you have now is more than enough to satisfy them and they will welcome you more like a family.okay?"

Her words got me as my mind slowly calmed down sometimes  I'm worrying too much and that's must have become a habit now

I put my phone after replying to the university email as i remember only few hours left so hurriedly jumping out of the bed all the while my the corner of my eyes were secretly searching for the Tash's moments she was still engrossed in her laptop
