Chapter 78

Hazel's POV

I took greedy gulps from the water glass and the dizziness in my head slowly faded feeling it cool content passing down my throat. Deeply sighing I got up from the bed while massaging my aching forehead. My eyes unknowingly fell to the glistening diamond on my finger. The mere sight of it tightened my chest with a heavy feeling. Everything still feeling like a dream. Like this night never happened for real but it's not a dream, Now my fate have really signed for his name.

Finally he was successful in keeping his words. He was successful in attaching my name with his. I don't know I should be happy or sad about this. At least he might be happy now. In this game of hate both of us cannot be happy at the same time. So it's good at least he is happy because unlike him I can't see him hurt. More tears filled to my eyes while i got up to my trembling feet. I pulled the dress halfway down but couldn't slip it completely as I had forget to unzip the side zipper. In exhausted I started to pull the zipper walking towards my closet but now it has stuck.

Great. this is the only thing missing to complete this awful night.

"Why this everything making my life hard?" I mumbled annoyed with the way the dress has stuck. Neither i can pull it up or down. I was too tired and all i wanted was to remove this heavy dress and slipped into a comfy pyjama and cry myself to sleep but i guess even this simple zipper wouldn't give me a easy way.

I scoffed trying to pulled it down but my movement stopped hearing a weird sound of something falling. Looking around, my heart beat stopped. Hyden, was there halfway standing at my door frame, while his predatory orbs were scanning me from head to toe. The first aid kit was on the floor near his feet. his intense gaze made me more conscious about my appearance. Sweet Jesus!!! I was standing half necked and the top of that my nude color backless bra was standing out to his eyes.

I right away turned around, crossing my arms above my chest and ran to my closet in embarrassed.
I closed it's door in hurried and leaned on to it. Putting a palm on my stammering chest, i tried to understand what happened.

Oh..god...did he just saw me undressing???

Jesus!!

Stupid, stupid, stupid....

Why did i even forget, there's no any safe place for me in this house. My whole cheeks started burning and i was already biting on to my bottom lips in embarrassed.

God, this is so embarrassing..

I shook my head trying pushed out the image of his shocked face out of my head. He was looking at me with those hawk like big eyes. That gaze was making me want to borrow a whole in the floor so that earth can swallow me whole. I was internally slapping for my self being so clumsy like that but my whole body became more tensed hearing his heavy foot steps approaching me.

My eyes popped out remembering that, This door even doesn't have a Lock. Great

That's too his fault he is the one removed the lock here..

I cautiously stayed hopping he will stop, but no his heavy foot steps were nearing. No ... don't even think about bragging inside...
I leaned to the door putting my whole body weight on it, trying to put on a fight if he try to brag in. Though my body was weak i was still up to a fight. My limbs started to covered in goosebumps and hairs on the back of my neck were stood in attention. All kind of worst scenerios were like sirens in my head but audible yet a gentle knock broke all my trail of thoughts.

"Come out after changing, we should treat your wounds" his deep steady voice came from the other side making me dumbstruck. It took few minutes for me to understand what he said. After hurting me now he is acting all concern??? my inner subconscious rolled her eyes in a sarcastic way at his words.
