Hazel's POV

Tangled..

Messed.....

Confused.....

Tired ......

Above words can be described my state right now. This one night turned my whole word upside down. This night has been too dramatic. First his unexpected proposal now have tied my name with him and then Eva being the culprit of my accident making me dumbstruck.

Is she the one really ran over me that night??

Why???

why Eva do a such thing??

She don't have any reason to do that.
I met her before the accident as she came to watch my drama but she was totally normal back then. I didn't sense anything odd. She was worrying about Nick, but appeared fine.

I looked back again, hearing her faint cries as now we were far from them. Hyden was dragging me towards the parking lot , tugging me along with him but I couldn't get her vulnerable and petrified face out of my mind.

"Let her go" I said nailing my heels on the ground, refusing to take another step. His steps halted and he looked back at me with a galre. His face was regid but i could sense he being tensed. firmness around my wrist could described it well. I freshly remember how panicked he was few moments ago. Gust of emotions were flowing through his face at the time.

Was he like that because he care for me?? I swallowed thickly looking at his predatory orbs were setting on me.

"Sh-e is innocent, she can't do a such thing" i fumbled after a deep breath trying to ignore what his gaze doing in my head.

"That's something police should decide" his firm voice came as he was looking straight into my eyes, then taking my silent to a grant he started to take me toward the parking lot again.

I was back in my trail of thoughts...
How he know Eva involved in the accident?? Was he was searching on this from a long time?? it wasn't a simple hit and run. I clearly remember that car was intentionally coming towards Hyden. Whoever involved in this, it's not me the initial target. It was Hyden!!!!

Why Eva trying to harm Hyden?

My legs stopped and Hyden turned to me in annoyance.

"You are coming or do you want me to throw you over my shoulder?" He said in his firm voice but i was too engrossed in my thoughts, trying to untangle this mess in my head.

"She was running away from someone???" I murmured more to myself as some parts of this puzzle were matching inside my head.

Lack of answer from his side made my head raised to watch him. He was plainly looking at me without any kind of emotions on his face and my breath lobbared. It was as if i was struck by a lighting when this strange feeling embedded in my head.
I pry my hands off of Hyden and took a step back feeling breathless.

"Are you the one threatening her??Are you the one she was fearing??" I asked in one go watching his face but he was looking at me plainly without any kind of change of emotions.

"Are you the one she was running from??" I asked in dismay as one by one her words were replying in my mind.

Hyden deeply shighed not before taking a step ahead to me.

"I don't know what you are talking about but If you're done playing detective, then let's go home" he said reaching to my wrist but i slapped his hands away taking another step back.
My pulse were thudding inside my ear and sweat beads were forming on my head.
