Hazel's pov

I touched my burning cheeks, from the back of my hands. I felt as if I'm having a fever which reminds me the gaze he had while he saying that. That gaze was intense which capable of making my body numb, it stirred some unknown warmness in my pit of stomach.

This is really bad!!! Why I'm acting like a teenage all blushing like this?? why am i getting excited for nothing?? I know he probably didn't mean anything. That's how he is!!! He is just trying to play with me and get into my mind!! I shighed deeply as that sudden realisation took over my brain. Yes!! I should stop wavering my self because of him. He is someone so unpredictable and unreadable!!
I shook my head watching my self in the the reflection of the rear mirror.

My cheeks were still painted in red, and lipstick was smudged. Good thing Manny has gaven me that handy lips gloss saying that i will need it. I pulled it out of my clutch and applied it on the smudged area. I was spreading it from the forefinger but stiffined seeing him coming out of the house.
My heart beat sped up, with the mere sight of his figure from the rear mirror.

I put the gloss back in my clutch in hurried and took a gulp of breath just as he opened the door and got in. His continue silent stares were falling on me, while i chose to watched my lap in so much interest but to be honest i was watching his each every moves from the corner of my eyes , in nervous.

Soon the sound of engine started and through the whole drive none of us spoke. within half of hour we have arrived the venue, jeeze that 30 minutes might be the hardest 30 minutes of my life. I was gulping in silent, trying not to show him how his words have affected me but who to kidding i couldn't stop my self getting goosebumps on my limbs when his gaze was on me. He intimidate me too much and that annoy me as i was always on the edge.

A long breath made it way out of my lips when he finally stopped the car infront of the beautiful entrence. As soon as the car stopped, i saw how reporters attention came toward us. Not one or two there were many waiting at the entrance with camera and mics, to capture people going into the ball.

I gulped in paranoid. Jeez how i never see this coming?? A big lump formed in my throat while the realisation downed to my head. Now i got that why aunt was hell excited in dolling me up. The moment i exit from this car, i will have to face all these camera with him and i could imagine I will be on all the business magazine with capital bold headlines.
The thought alone made it impassible for me to breath.

I'm not going to step out!!!

A cold touch on my wrist, startled me out of my thoughts. It was none other than Hyden himself. His brown eyes were watching me intense, calculating all nervousness written on my face.

Why is he even looking at me like this?? Like he really understand what I'm going through right now?

A sigh of despair left my lips, not only this paparazzi now his predatory gaze was making me hell nervous. Biting on to my quivering lips, i took few audible deep breaths silently strating him back.

Suddenly breaking the eye contact, he took out a box from the one of glove. I wondered what it could may and soon revealing it he opened the box. It was a ash colour feathery half mask. He took it out making me wondered about his next move.

Is it for me? I thought but unexpectedly gasped when he leaned to me to put it on me. His hot mint breath began to tickled on the side of my neck along with his lips were brushing on my paranoid skin. I was holding my breath stiffined on the spot like a statue as he was knitting those strands at the back of my head. he was being gentle not to mess up me bun where i tried to clam my wildly beating heart as he was so close. The thump was so loud in my ears to the point i was afraid thinking even he might can hear it.
