With your terrible fucking dumb luck, you find yourself sitting beside the obviously psychopathic blonde pirate. Mihawk, seemingly acknowledging your presence as something more important than just a mere marine, decides to sit on your other side.

But this blonde nuisance deliberately took the seat right next to you.

He doesn't even have the decency to sit like a normal person. He's perched on top of the backrest of the seat, where your back should be resting. Yeah, he's sitting on top of it.

You try your best to ignore his obnoxious presence and calm your black spirit down, reminding Yami that this pirate will definitely not taste good no matter how good-looking he is!

You've only just met this guy, and he's already getting on your nerves.

Sengoku finally enters the room, immediately noticing your presence. How could he not? Everyone in the room is staring at you.

You send him a smile, as if he didn't just let you get taken away and sent to hell two years ago.

He nods at you and takes his seat, looking a bit uncomfortable. He didn't expect you to be this early. Hell, he didn't even expect you to attend this meeting at all.

After clearing his throat, he finally decides to start the meeting.

•••••

The meeting finally ends, and everyone is dismissed—except you. You're asked to stay with Sengoku in the room.

The pink bird guy doesn't want to leave and tells Sengoku that he wants to talk to you. Alone.

Sengoku doesn't take the pirate's request very well.

"I will have Mihawk personally drag you out of here if you make me repeat myself again. Get out, Heavenly Demon," he states seriously.

Mihawk, who is midway through leaving the room, stops and looks at Sengoku, then at the taller Shichibukai.

It seems like he doesn't mind dragging the nosy man out at all.

You calmly remain seated, watching the scene unfold. Half of you is hoping to see the pink bird get his ass dragged out as a small payback for getting on your nerves.

So you stay still, leaning back in your chair and grinning smugly at the Shichibukai. He looks like a spoiled brat who doesn't take no for an answer.

But since it's Sengoku himself telling him to get out and threatening him already, he has to now. He's on enemy territory; he could be killed here in no time.

He grins at Sengoku before moving away, hands in his pockets. He sends you one last amused grin before walking out, passing Mihawk as he goes.

Mihawk nods at Sengoku and at you before leaving and shutting the door behind him.

"(Y/N), I—"

"I'm fine. It's fine. Whatever you did, none of it is your fault. I don't blame you for any of it." You smile at him, sitting properly in your seat.

Sengoku looks at you and observes you carefully. You were a bright kid. He remembers how your (e/c) eyes used to shine so brightly when you smiled when he first met you. But now, that smile doesn't reach your eyes at all.

It looks... almost empty.

His fists tighten behind the long desk.

What has he done?
