In a peaceful city in East Blue, the soft hum of chatter filled a cozy tavern where patrons drank and ate their fill.
"Have you noticed that Shi No Megami has been missing for a year now?" one man remarked, glancing at his drunken companion.
His friend, slumped in his chair, waved dismissively. "Who cares about that monster? She killed innocent officials-an act of treason against the World Government. She's probably hiding somewhere, going mad," the drunkard sneered, and his companion hummed thoughtfully.
"I heard she did it out of revenge. They say Samuel, the so-called traitor, was actually her friend and was executed unfairly." The drunkard straightened up, pouring another shot into his cup.
"Doesn't matter. She's a pirate, and pirates are scum, no matter the reason."
Nearby, a woman with a big black hat with a wide brim sat at the bar, her legs elegantly crossed. A subtle smile played on her lips as she listened to the men's conversation.
Her fingers tapped softly on the counter, and the glass of wine in front of her caught the light.
"Pirates are scum, marines are heroes. Pirates are bad, marines are good. It's the same tired story, day after day," she murmured, her face hidden beneath the shadow of her large hat.
The bartender, polishing a glass, smiled at the mysterious woman. "That's just the way the world works," he replied.
The woman chuckled softly, her voice barely louder than a whisper, yet it carried a weight that made the bartender pause.
"Yes, that's the way the world works. But tell me, what happens when that world is built on lies?"
The bartender's smile faltered as he met her gaze, now partially visible beneath the brim of her hat. Her eyes were sharp, filled with a dangerous mix of amusement and something darker. He didn't respond, opting instead to place the freshly cleaned glass on the shelf behind him.
The woman, her (h/c) hair catching the dim light, smiled knowingly.
"Ah, yes. Silence, denial. That's what keeps this fragile world intact. But I wonder... what kind of chaos would unfold if the truth were revealed?" She hummed, reaching into her coat. She pulled out a small object, placing it on the counter and sliding it toward the bartender.
The man looked at her curiously before glancing down. A black metal object with a rose intricately carved into it lay before him. His eyes widened in recognition.
"That—"
"I like you," she interrupted smoothly. "We could use someone like you in our organization. Do you want to help change the world? Are you brave enough to die for that cause? If so, give us a call. We'll be waiting."
With a smile on her lips, the tall beauty turned and began walking toward the tavern door.
"Wait!" She paused mid-step, sensing the urgency in his voice. The bartender took a deep breath, clutching the metal in his hands.
"Is it true? Did you do all of that out of revenge? Do you... do you regret it?" His voice trembled with emotion, eyes filled with hesitation and hope.
The woman's lips curled upward, and her (e/c) eyes glowed as she looked back over her shoulder.
"If justice couldn't prevail through peaceful means," she smirked darkly, "then chaos will."
With that, she left the tavern, the door closing softly behind her. As she walked away, she pulled out a log pose, glancing at it with a knowing smile.
"Alabasta it is," she murmured, her steps quickening with purpose as she disappeared into the night.
To be continued~
[A/N: I would like to present the final version of the book "She'll Become The Strongest." This edition will primarily focus on the reader's past before transitioning to the Alabasta Arc.
I have made significant changes here. Specifically, our beloved albino snake, Ash, has been removed from this fanfic. Shiro and Yami are now the only remaining companions of Shi No Megami.
Please note that English is not my native language, so do not expect perfect grammar. Also, watch out for typographical errors.
That's all for now!
I hope you enjoy reading!
Adios~!]
