Every day, Luffy chased after Ace whenever the freckled boy ventured into the forest. You simply watched from a distance, tending to Luffy's wounds when he returned. You'll glared at Ace disappointedly as you do, only for the boy to huff in annoyance

Luffy even went missing for a week once. You didn't go after him because you knew he'll survive and the two would eventually get along. Although Ace seemed to dislike Luffy, you understood it was just his defense mechanism. Ace was warming up to the rubber boy, and he knew very well that you'd be heartbroken if you lost Luffy. Much to his annoyance.

"Luffy, get back here and do your chores!" Dadan yelled from the door. You chuckled as you continued hanging the laundry.

You were back to helping around the house-cooking delicious meals, doing the dishes, and managing the laundry. The mountain bandits were finally being pampered again. You were like an angel to them. No, a goddess.

They also noticed how much you had changed. Not too much, but you had become a sweet-talking little shit and, somehow, even more beautiful. How was that even possible?

"Ara, Dadan-san. Let them have fun. I can handle the chores myself," you said sweetly. She sighed deeply.

"You're spoiling those brats, (Y/N)," she replied. You just hummed in response.

"Although, I am curious. Why haven't we seen any newspapers about you?" Dadan asked, making you freeze.

"Yeah, you've been away for 5 years. How come we've never heard anything?" Dagra added.

You chuckled nervously and set down the laundry basket.

"What's your rank now, by the way?" Magra asked.

"Rear Admiral," you answered with a closed-eye smile.

Their eyes bulged, and their mouths fell open in shock.

"NANIII?!!!"

The bandits' shock quickly turned into a mix of awe and disbelief.

"Rear Admiral?!" Dadan repeated, her voice rising in astonishment. "You're telling me our little (Y/N) is a Rear Admiral now?"

"How the hell did that happen?" Magra asked, still struggling to process the news.

You shrugged, trying to downplay it. "It's a long story. Let's just say I've been busy."

"But if you're that high up, why haven't we seen any news about you?" Dadan pressed, her curiosity piqued.

You hesitated, unsure how to explain. Your Grandpa had been keeping your name out of the public eye, even from the East Blue. His reasons were unclear, and it was starting to bother you, especially as more people questioned it.
