SLAP!
The sound of the slap echoed through the room as Lieutenant Asai's hand connected with your face. The force of the blow made you stumble slightly, but you remained unfazed, a smirk playing on your lips.
Asai's rage was palpable as he stood there, shaking with fury. "You dared to betray me, you ungrateful wench?!"
Several of your fellow Marines quickly intervened, trying to restrain Asai, but he was a whirlwind of anger. Hina stepped in front of you, her concern evident as she asked, "Are you alright?"
You gave Hina a reassuring nod, your smirk never faltering as you softly shoved her aside. "How fast the words these days. You're surely updated so quickly, Asai-san," you said, your tone laced with mockery.
Asai growled in frustration, shoving the Marines away from him with surprising strength. "You little bitch!"
You tilted your head, unfazed by his insult. "Such strong words, Asai-san. But, I suppose you're upset because things didn't go the way you planned."
His eyes burned with anger as he struggled against the Marines holding him back. "You think this is a joke? They will come after you, you stupid bitch!"
Your grin widened at his threat. "Not before you, I'm afraid."
Asai's face twisted with a mixture of rage and disbelief. "You don't understand what you've done. You think this is the end? I have powerful allies. They'll make sure you suffer."
You laughed softly, shaking your head. "Oh, I understand perfectly. This is just the beginning for you. Your allies? They're about to find themselves dealing with their own mess."
Asai's frustration was palpable as he continued to struggle, but the Marines' grip on him was firm. He glared at you with a burning hatred. "You're making a huge mistake."
You took a step closer, your voice low and dangerous. "No, Asai. The mistake was yours. You should have been smarter."
With a final, dismissive glance at Asai, you turned to the Marines. "Get him out of here. Make sure he's securely detained and await orders from above."
As the Marines dragged Asai away, his shouts and curses echoed through the room. You watched him go, feeling a sense of cold satisfaction.

Smoker stormed out of the room, his face a storm of frustration. The report and findings he had presented to the Fleet Admiral were met with a curt acknowledgment, and then he had been sent alone to a different, even more prestigious figure within the World Government.
The meeting with this higher-up had been brief and to the point. Smoker had been thanked for his efforts and informed that Sergeant Exiomir (Y/N) would be reassigned to a different unit. To his shock, he was also informed of his own promotion. But the news left him fuming.
