Vice-Admiral Garp's stern expression sent a shiver down your spine, the warmth you were used to replaced by a cold, intimidating presence. You swallowed hard, trying to steady your voice.

"I can explain-"

Before you could continue, Garp turned his back on you, signaling his marines to board your ship. They moved quickly, attending to the wounded and organizing the chaos.

"Get on the ship," he ordered, his tone leaving no room for argument.

Reluctantly, you watched as Bogard gently took Sam from your arms. Despite the heaviness in your heart, you knew he would receive the care he needed. You glanced one last time at the unconscious teen before stepping onto Garp's ship, the weight of the situation pressing heavily on your shoulders.

As you followed Garp, the reality of your predicament settled in. This was far from over, and now you had to face the consequences of your actions under the watchful eyes of your grandfather.

Inside his office, you locked the door behind you and found yourself enveloped in Garp's embrace. The familiar comfort of his hug was a stark contrast to the severity of the situation, and your eyes filled with tears as you hugged him tightly.

"I'm sorry, jiji! I'm sorry!" you choked out, your voice breaking with regret. You knew your mistake-leaving Dawn Island without telling him, ignoring his warnings. The guilt of your recklessness was overwhelming.

Garp's embrace tightened slightly, his normally stern face softened by concern. After a moment, he pulled back just enough to look into your tear-streaked face.

"What were you thinking, (Y/N)? You could have been killed!" he exclaimed angrily, though the pain and worry in his eyes were unmistakable.

"I didn't train you enough to face this!" he continued, his grip on your shoulders tightening. You cried harder, the weight of his words and your actions crashing down on you.

"I don't want to stay on the island my whole life!" you argued, trying to make him understand your desire for something more.

Garp's expression grew even more troubled. He growled under his breath, frustration evident. "That's not the point. It's not about staying on the island forever. It's about being ready for what lies ahead."

He turned his back to you, pacing as he wrestled with his emotions. The silence that followed was heavy, each of you grappling with the gravity of the situation.

You wiped your tears angrily, glaring at his back. "If I was Ace, you wouldn't react like this! You'd be proud of me!"

Garp stopped in his tracks, his shoulders tensing. He turned slowly, his face a mix of anger and hurt. "You think this is because you're a girl? It's not about that. This is about you not knowing what's waiting for you in this world. You don't know the dangers out there, and I'm trying to keep you safe!"

His voice was rough but carried a note of deep concern. "You're not ready for everything that's coming, and I can't stand seeing you put yourself in harm's way like this. It's my job to protect you, and right now, you're not making it easy."
