It was also evening in a jasmine field in Anywhere.
Jackie and Paul were walking amongst the flowers hand in hand.
"Jackie..." Paul began. "I often wonder where we went wrong."
"It was my fault, dear, I admit it. I was just blinded by John Davidson's pretty face" said Jackie.
"I s'pose he was rather handsome" said Paul.
"Yes. But when you ended things, I realized just how important you are to me, Jeremy" said Jackie.
She turned to face who she thought was her ex-lover. "Do you have any idea how glad I am to see you?"
"I'm starting to" said Paul.
"Jeremy... do you forgive me?" Jackie whispered.
She closed her eyes and inclined her face towards Paul who backed away awkwardly.
"Jackie, I need to explain something to you" he said.
Jackie opened her eyes. "Yes?"
"You see... I'm not exactly what you think."
"What do you mean?"
"Well..."
"Is it that I've not been on your mind?"
"It's not..."
"Oh, Jeremy! You do realize some of our breakup was on you."
"Jackie, it..."
"You're just as hotheaded, fickle, and selfish as you always were!"
And she stamped her foot and marched away leaving Paul hurt.
He walked in the other direction and found Calvin in the gold waterfall area.
"How'd it go with Jackie?" said Calvin.
"I wasn't able to tell her" said Paul. "I tried, but she lost her temper and slandered my cousin."
"What'd she say?"
"She said he was hotheaded, fickle, and selfish."
"Okay, now that's just wrong" said Calvin wrinkling his nose. "Jeremy does have a temper on him, but I wouldn't call him a hothead."
"But he was a bit fickle the first time he took me to your Wiggletown" said Paul.
"Aw, that was just a misunderstanding; you know that" said Calvin. "And Jeremy is far cry from selfish."
"I know" said Paul.
"You didn't act like any of those things just now, did you?" said Calvin.
"Of course not" said Paul. "It only came up when I tried to explain our charade."
Calvin shifted his gaze to the side and nodded.
"I never meant to hurt anyone" said Paul.
Calvin sighed sympathetically. "You know, Paul... Jackie may think Jeremy is a fickle hothead, but protecting her by not telling her I'm a Warrior was very selfless."
"Do you think she'll come round?" said Paul.
"She seemed pretty open-minded to me. She might realize she didn't let you talk" said Calvin.
"I hope so" said Paul.
