Jeremy, Sam, and Charles Wallace were now in an area of the desert with grass.

"Okay. We're looking for the Plains of Epona" said Sam.

"These look like plains to me" said Charles Wallace.

"How do we know these are the plains we're looking for?" said Jeremy.

"Epona was the goddess of horses, so maybe we just need to find some horses" said Charles Wallace.

The atmosphere was cooler on the plains and the grass was long enough to sustain horses.

So they were sure they were in the right place.

Just then, a mysterious woman appeared before them.

She was gorgeous with her long wavy white hair and flowing blue dress.

Her eyes were blue too and her skin was fair.

"Dia duit" she said.

"Huh?" said Sam.

"It's Irish. It means 'god be with you'." said Charles Wallace.

He stepped up to the woman and said "Dia is Muire duit."

The woman smiled softly and bowed her head.

"Who are you?" said Sam.

"I am the goddess Epona" said the woman.

"Now I know we're in the Plains of Epona" said Jeremy.

"But of course" said Epona. "I was put here to protect travelers from the dangers of the desert."

"Really? Awesome. Are you able to help travelers get where they wanna go?" said Sam.

"Absolutely. Where is it you wish to go?" said Epona.

"We're trying to get to Anywhere" said Charles Wallace.

"Begorrah! Anywhere? That cave is very mysterious" said Epona. "I have yet to hear of anyone who's escaped from it."

"But my cousin is in there. We have to at least try to rescue him" said Jeremy. "Please, mighty goddess. Help us."

Epona looked at Jeremy's appearance. "You are very determined, for someone of your shape."

"He's pregnant, your excellency" said Sam. "And it's more mysterious than we thought."

"I see..." said Epona.

"Please, mighty goddess" Jeremy repeated.

Epona softened. "Well, just this once. But you must know it is not easy."

She waved her hands and three snow white horses appeared.

Then she spoke to them in Irish.

"I have just told these horses to take you to Anywhere. Be extremely careful" she said to the gang.

"Go raibh maith agat, your excellency" said Charles Wallace.

"Tá fáilte romhat" said Epona.

"What did you just say to her?" said Sam.

"I thanked her" said Charles Wallace getting on his horse.

Epona turned to Jeremy just as he mounted his horse.

"O impregnated one... you speak to me faithfully" she said.

"Yes, your excellency" said Jeremy.

"So I shall pledge my faith to you. Pursue your precious cousin" said Epona.

"Thank you... mighty goddess" said Jeremy.

And the three of them rode off away from the plains.

"Slàn, good travelers, and good luck" said Epona.
