"She's crazy!" I hear a cop yell as he runs away. They are talking into their walkie talkies. Probably requesting back up. Whatever, I'll kill them all. Three officers come around the corner and look at me through the open door, guns raised. I just lazily roll my eyes and continue randomly stabbing the gaurd, laughing as the blood comes out.
"Ch-Charlotte?" One of them takes a step closer. I freeze and glare at him. He moves back. Then another cop runs up next to them. "You guys have got to be kidding me. Just take the shot already! She's a murderer for crying out loud!" This man, I decided, dies first. I stand up slowly. They all take steps backwards and raise their guns higher.
"Well," I say calmly. "W-well?" Someone dares. "Shoot. Go on, I haven't got all day." They glance at each other questioningly. "W-what are y-you planning?" Another asks. "Nothing sir, I don't need a plan. I've had my fun. Go on." I spread my arms out. I'm still questioning what's about to happen here. I know they will shoot me, and I'm not afraid of dying. Especially not from being shot.
I hear the gun.
I see the bullet.
I don't feel anything.
All I see is darkness. And then I'm falling. Falling into nothingness. Is this really death? Is this really what it feels like? I'm about to consider it as painless when I get thrown. Into water. Black, cold water. I'm soon drowning. I try desperately to grab something but there is nothing. Nothing to hold. Nothing but dark. All I can think about it how I should have killed them, how I could have killed them.
It stops.
I stop.
"Do you want to die?"
A voice asks.
"No."
Someone speaks for me.
"Do you want revenge?"
They ask.
"Yes."
Someone says for me.
My eyes open quickly. I'm still standing. The cops are still there. I smile.
"I'm back." .
