Long Chapter...

Vartika eyed Samir suspiciously, her small brows furrowing as she studied him. On the other hand, Samir shifted awkwardly under her gaze, feeling completely out. Handling kids was definitely not his cup of tea.

Come on, he thought to himself, mentally scrambling for something to say. I don't know how to deal with kids!

"Why are you at Stranger Uncle's house? Do you live here too?" she asked, her head tilted curiously.

Samir blinked, caught off guard by the question. He knelt to her level, forcing a smile. "Well... no, I don't live here. Your father is my boss, and it's my job to stay with him and help him."

Vartika's eyes widened in surprise, her face lighting up with curiosity. "Just like a nanny?"

Samir's jaw dropped, and for a moment, he forgot how to breathe. He choked on air, coughing as he tried to gather his composure. What the hell?! His ears flushed crimson with embarrassment. A nanny? Me?! How on earth do I look like a nanny to her?!

He gave her a strained smile, trying to salvage his dignity. "Uh, not... not exactly like a nanny. More like... an assistant. You know, someone who helps with work stuff." His voice trailed off as he realized how weak his explanation sounded. He wasn't sure whether he was trying to convince her or himself at this point...

He doesn't like kids anymore. Not after this second-hand embarrassment.

But Vartika wasn't convinced. Her eyes narrowed, and she tilted her head again, scrutinizing him like a detective. "So, like a nanny, Even Nanny helps with all the work, and they also take care of a person" she repeated, her voice innocent.

Samir sighed inwardly, his ears still burning. But No, He is not offended! Not at all. He is very calm. Calm like an ocean.

Nanny!?

Wow!

FREAKING WOW!!!!

FREAKING NANNY!!!!

HE IS A NANNY..... ADITYA'S NANNY!!!!!!!!! Awesome!

There was no winning this argument. He officially hates kids Now. Even if this piece comes with the tag 'Made By Aditya and Shivalika'

Samir swallowed hard, trying to maintain whatever shreds of dignity he had left. He stood up slowly, brushing off imaginary dust from his pants as if that would help him regain composure. Vartika, still staring up at him with those wide, curious eyes.

"Alright then," Samir mumbled under his breath, trying to regain his cool. "Not a nanny... definitely not a nanny."

Vartika, completely unbothered, continued her interrogation. "So, if you're not a nanny, what else do you do? Do you clean up after him too? Make him food?"

It was too much for him now, Samir mentally cried and begged for Aditya to complete his conversation with Shivalika and come out or else this product of him would snatch away his left-out dignity.

He looked at her with a duh expression and thought, Oh God, she thinks I'm a full-time babysitter now. His mind flashed back to all the times he had grabbed Aditya's coffee, made sure his schedule ran smoothly, and cleaned up his messes—wait... NO!! That's just professional work messes... Not some nanny mess!

"Listen, Vartika," Samir began, bending down again as if pleading for her to understand. "I don't make your dad's food. I'm his Secretary! S.E.C.R.E.T.A.R.Y. You know, I help with work things, important things in his office! Grown-up stuff." He emphasized the last part, hoping she would back off. But instead, Vartika only blinked at him, her eyes wide and innocent.
