The night air was thick with tension as Aditya and Yash stood by their bikes on the edge of a dark, winding highway. Today, the road was theirs... They have been waiting for this day for so long... A bike race was something they would frequently do years ago, They would involve themselves so much in this that sometimes they forgot they are friends, not enemies. It was like a challenge for them that they had to win no matter what.

"You sure you can handle this?" Aditya asked, his voice cutting through the silence, Mischief visible in his eyes

Yash smirked, pulling on his gloves. "Don't get cocky. I've been winning all this time"

"But I have changed, It would be tough for you this time," Aditya said in the same tone, He had forgotten the number of times he rode the bike alone whenever he missed Yash.

The engines roared, their deep growls echoing into the empty night. The vibration of the machines buzzed through their veins, and the air smelled of burning fuel and adrenaline.

"Rules are simple," Aditya said, gripping his handlebars. "First to the peak wins. No shortcuts. No excuses." He winked through his helmet.

"All the best, loser" Yash teased him, revving his engine. The sound sent a shiver down Aditya's spine, He knew Yash was best at this, If it was a car, he would have won but Bikes are Yash things no matter how much he excelles it.

Aditya raised his hand. "Three... two... one—GO!"

The bikes tore forward, their engines screaming against the stillness of the night. Tyres screeched on the asphalt, leaving faint trails of smoke behind as Aditya and Yash launched themselves into the race with reckless abandon.

The road was dark and empty, they launched forward like bullets, The cold wind slapped their faces as they surged ahead, but it only fueled their adrenaline.

Aditya leaned forward, gripping the handlebars tightly. His bike growled under him, matching the intensity of his heartbeat.

Yash took an early lead, leaning into the curves with effortless grace. He glanced back at Aditya, a smirk playing on his lips. "Too slow, Agnihotri!" he shouted over the roar of the engine, his posture confident, as if he was born to conquer the road.

"Not for long," Aditya shouted back, twisting the throttle harder. His bike surged forward, closing the gap between them.

"Is that all you've got?" Yash asked

Aditya grinned darkly, twisting the throttle harder. "Don't blink, or you'll miss me."  He overtook Yash on a straight stretch, the sound of his engine deafening.

He smirked, If he went with this speed then no doubt he will win, he thought but it didn't last long when a voice interrupted him.

"Missed me?" Yash taunted, his voice dripping with challenge. The gap between them vanished in seconds as he came up beside Aditya. Their handlebars were dangerously close now.

Aditya chuckled "Not for long, buddy." The road straightened for a brief stretch, and Aditya saw his chance. He leaned low, reducing the wind resistance, and his bike roared as it shot past Yash. For a moment, he felt the thrill of leading, the rush of being in control.

"Surely practised a lot" Yash muttered looking at Aditya taking the lead "But Not Today" Twisting his throttle to its limit, He was ready to meet Aditya again.

The air was electric, Both bikes roared at full speed, the engines screaming like wild animals.

Aditya took a daring inside curve, his knee almost scraping the ground. Yash followed, but the move had cost him precious seconds. Aditya glanced back, a flicker of triumph in his eyes.
