"What the F*ck!" She was too shocked to say anything else, She noticed Aditya was looking into his phone while his secretary was telling him something, Mr Khan looked up and his words died, he stopped at his place and looked at her in surprise and shock.
Shivalika was not able to think straight, she felt like her brain had stopped working, It was all in few seconds, She followed the only thing that came into her mind at that time.
She turned and ran as fast as she could. As she sprinted away, her mind raced with confusion and disbelief. Aditya's unexpected presence shook her to the core. Thoughts jumbled in her head like a turbulent storm. She replayed their last conversation in her mind.
How could he be here, now, of all times? Was it a coincidence or something more else? Questions swirled, but answers were elusive amidst the chaos of her emotions.
She stopped when she reached the other side of the corridor as they can't see her there anymore
"No, No No! He shouldn't find me!" She panicked biting her nails.
"What the hell is he doing here?"
"How will I go to Yash's room, now? What if Mom Dad or Uncle Aunty see him by any chance?" She was very confused and stressed at the same time.
On the other hand, Aditya looked up from his phone when he heard heavy footsteps, He saw Shivalika's back when she was running for her life, He didn't recognise her in a loose T-shirt and pants. Then he noticed Mr Khan had stopped saying in the middle, he looked back to find him standing far away from him in shock, He frowned.
"What happened to you?" His voice took Mr Khan out from the latest shock, he was not ready to believe.
Was he hallucinating?
"Huh? N-No Nothing" He lied, Aditya looked at him suspiciously but he got more work than asking about this so he ignored it.
"Give Me My keys, I will meet you in the evening, till then have fun! Or else you will say your boss is cruel." He told him and took the keys of his room which was beside him and right in front of Shivalika's.
When Aditya entered his room Mr Khan looked at the end of the corridor where Shivalika ran, He immediately walked there and checked the whole floor but he didn't find her which made him more confused.
"I am 100% sure I saw her! Where is she? Or am I really hallucinating?" He asked himself, He again checked that area before leaving but again he didn't find anyone. No one was there the whole corridor was empty.
Giving up he moved towards his room and entered inside, when he finally locked the room, Shivalika who was hiding behind the luggage cart came out.
She sighed in relief.
"I was almost caught! I need to tell Yash about this or else I won't be able to handle it alone." She said and again ran in the corridor to Yash's room.
She was not knocking on his door, she started banging it loudly... Yash who was relaxing in his room was startled, he immediately opened the door and found his sister huffing she was having difficulty in breathing as she had just come running.
"What happened?" He asked
She pushed him aside and entered the room and collapsed on the bed. Taking the water bottle from the table she drank in one go, Yash looked at her in confusion.
"What's wrong," He asked again leaving the door open.
Shivalika looked at him, those lines on her forehead were giving him an Idea that something must be wrong.
"He--He is here," She said.
"Who?" He frowned
"Your ex Best friend!!!" She snapped
