Kursi ki peti dhili kr lo chapter chota hai 😭
The office was a battleground of papers and tension. Aditya's face was red and veins bulging in his temples. His desk, usually neat, was now a chaotic expanse of coffee stains and crumpled reports. Empty cups were scattered across the surface, the remnants of their contents long since gone cold. The latest cup, still steaming and nearly empty, sat precariously near the edge.
His employees huddled standing in front of him, exchanging nervous glances, their eyes downcast as they tried to avoid eye contact. Aditya's booming voice filled the room, berating them for missed deadlines and subpar work. His frustration was clear. They thought he was on vacation to lighten his mood but he came back with more anger issues and now he was torturing his employees.
Samir looked at him with a mixture of concern and resolve. He took a deep breath and stepped forward, "Sir" He said gently knowing the reason behind his spoiled mood, his voice calm but firm not leaving the professional tone,
"I think you should take some rest, You directly came here and have been working for 5 hours straight" He was really concerned, It's not new for Aditya to take out his anger on his employees even if they are not at fault. Poor employees have been suffering since he landed in the country.
Aditya's gaze snapped toward him, his eyes fierce but clouded with exhaustion. "Not now, Mr. Khan! Can't you see I'm busy? I left for 4 days and this is what they did!" He said pointing at the reports. "Were you all also went to the vacations closing the building?" He asked furiously to his head employees team who stood silently.
Samir held his ground, unflinching in the face of Aditya's fury. "Sir, I understand your frustration, but yelling at them won't solve the problem. Everyone's been working hard to catch up, but we can't fix things if the team is too exhausted to think straight."
Aditya's fist clenched around the report in his hand, crumpling the pages further. His breathing was heavy, and for a moment, it seemed like he might lash out again. But then his shoulders slumped ever so slightly.
"Just... get it done, Mr Khan" Aditya finally muttered, dropping the report onto the desk with a sigh. The anger in his voice had softened, replaced by something closer to tiredness "I don't care how, just get it done." with that he closed his eyes.
"Yes, sir," Samir replied, his voice gentle but assured. "We'll take care of it. But you need to take care of yourself too. If you burn out, the whole team suffers. We can't afford to lose you to exhaustion."
Aditya looked at him, the exhaustion clear in his eyes. For a moment, the tension in the room eased, and the other employees dared to lift their heads, glancing at their boss with a mixture of hope and caution.
Samir noticed Aditya was not in the state of lashing out anymore.
"Alright, let's get back to work. We've got a lot to do, and we need to support each other to get through this." he said and gave a tight tip smile to them. The employees nodded, returning to their tasks with renewed focus. Samir's words had a calming effect, and they all knew that they had to stick together to navigate the challenges ahead.
"You've been working non-stop and drinking way too much coffee. This isn't helping anyone. You should go home and take rest. I will manage here" He said looking at exhausted Aditya as his gaze fell on the empty cups.
"Alright," he muttered, and stood up taking his coat. "Maybe you're right but when I come back, I want everything like before" He warned him.
Samir nodded. "Sure"
Aditya's mind was already messed up, Shivalika, his parents, Vartika, and now this work. His brain was occupied with all these. He was still angry at Shivalika. Not because she didn't know about his parents being no more but because she talked about them, he was angry because she has no rights to talk about them anymore. She hurted their feelings and this is enough for him to avoid her. His blood boiled when he saw pity for him in her eyes. Her words can lie to him but he had learnt to read her eyes. Her eyes are like open book for him that he wanted to close. He doesn't want to think about her puffy face, cracked voice and broken heart filled with sympathy and pity for him. What she thinks? He is weak? He can't control his emotions or he can't take care of himself just because he is alone now. He would choose her hate rather than her sympathy.
