Dreaming A Dream

When we were little everything was new,
The moon, the sky, and even the color blue.
We dreamed dreams no one else could have seen,
With fairys, magic, and even neon trees.
But as we get older we forget how to see
These beautiful masterpiece,
Now deemed not important enough
To be taken seriously.
I miss the way my little mind wandered,
Running and spring further and further
Into fairtails and space.
Dreaming a dream I believe In with all of my faith.
But we grew up,
And they stoped giving us crayons
They told us to grow up
And start using pen,
To mark your mistakes in red
And take notes until your paper bleeds.
Don't doodle or daydream or even joke.
That life should be taken seriously
And you need to learn how to stop
Dreaming,
See they are scememing because they lost all they believed in.
But why should we?
We should take a stand for all the little kids
Take a stand to give them back their imagination.
To dream of princess, monsters, and magic.
Bring them back to life
From the dull ache the older generation try to make.
