Cereza's POV
The ball went on for another two hours before we wrapped it up.
My feet were killing me and I still had tell everyone important goodbye, thanks for coming, etc. My friends were off on the side, waiting. Still within ear shot, but still out of sight. So, I put on a face and suffered through it like a good princess should.
"Princess, I'm so proud of you! You have no idea!" Dad exclaimed as we watched the last of the guest leave.
"Thank you Daddy." I said.
As soon as I saw the last person leave and the guards shut the doors, I kicked off my shoes so quick and sat on the floor. "Whew!" I exclaimed once my feet touched the floor. I reached under my million layer dress, and grabbed my shoes.
I pouted. "I'm sitting right here and I'm not moving!" I exclaimed crossing my arms.
Dad chucked. "Princess, it isn't proper etiquette to sit on the floor." He said.
"I'm not moving unless I'm being carried. Argue with the wall." I said.
"Argue with the-, what-, huh?" He asked confused.
Mom walked over. "It means, she doesn't want to hear anymore objections. Your arguments will fall upon deaf ears. Or in this case, something with no ears, a wall. Now, moving on, Is it over? Is it done?" Mom asked.
"The coast is clear." I said.
She immediately kicked off her shoes like I did. "Whew! There is a lot of things I miss about being in proximity to royalty, wearing heels for hours upon end, is not one of them." Mom said.
"Well, you might want to get used to it again. I mean, someone has to be my queen." Dad said.
Mom's eyes widened and then rolled to the back of her head as she dropped.
"Mom!"
"Diana!"
Before her body it the floor, Dad caught her. "Diana, love, stay with me." He said cradling her.
Not a moment later, Mom's eyes opened again. "It's alright. I'm okay, I'm okay." She said weakly.
I let go of the breath I didn't know I was holding before placing a hand over my heart.
"Dad, why would you say that!" I whined.
"How was I supposed to know that was going to happen?" He asked.
We heard the sound of running feet.
"What's wrong?" Jason asked
"We heard screaming!" Rae exclaimed.
"Is everyone okay?" Penelope asked.
Everyone ran into the room, ready to fight if necessary.
"Everything is fine. My dad just said the "Q" word." I said before turning to my mother. "Mom, I don't want to hear anything about me being dramatic ever again." I said.
Mom smacked her lips. "Shut up." She said.
We laughed at her.
I yelped when I felt hands reach under my arms and pull me up. "If I heard correctly, I believe someone said they weren't getting up unless they were carried." I relaxed when I seen it was Jason.
I giggled. "Oh, you heard that? That's correct." I said.
Wow, Jason's super strength really coming in handy.
"Well, your highness, where would you like to go?" He asked.
"My room, please." I said.
"ABSOLUTELY NOT!" Dad boomed.
