Sylus hums into the kiss, his hand gripping my waist firmly to keep me close to him. His tongue slides gently over my lips, begging for entrance as I slightly open my mouth. His unexpected taste sends waves of pleasure through my body. It seems his hunger for me is growing with each passing moment.

Suddenly, hundreds of pictures are floating my mind, too fast to get a grip on any of it. But I catch a few brief glimpses. A young Sylus with a smile that reaches his eyes. An older Sylus his face gloomy with concern. Are those other memories? My head starts to spin. Sylus is about to deepen the kiss when I suddenly shove him away.

"STOP!" I cry out, breathing hard, looking confused and angry. Sylus blinks in surprise at my reaction, his eyes studying my face, noticing the confusion and anger mixed in with that look of shock. "What's wrong, kitty?" He asks, his voice laced with concern as he tries to pull me closer again.

"I think... I had a flashback again... But... I don't know what it means..." I stutter unsure. His eyes widening at my confession. "Oh, really?" He raises his eyebrows in mock surprise, his voice taking on a teasing tone. "And just what did you see this time, little hunter?" He asks, leaning forward to brush some loose strands of my hair out of my face, taking the chance to touch my skin again.

"I don't know... You...? But... not like that..." I am waving at him being all intimidating and dangerous looking. "You looked... really young, soft, happy... your smile reached your eyes." I mutter while I have a hard time comparing the present Sylus with the memory-Sylus.

He chuckles at my words, a smirk lingering on his lips as he takes in the sight of my bewildered expression, clearly confused by the contradiction - the soft and tender Sylus versus the beast right in front of me. "You sound almost disappointed, kitten." He murmurs, his fingers gently tracing my jawline, the callouses on his fingertips making my skin tingle.

I get the uneasy feeling that something horrible must have happened in the past which led to the drastic change in Sylus behavior. He notices the pensive look on my face and brushes his fingers through my hair in a mockingly comforting gesture. "You look like you're thinking too hard, kitten. Stop that."

"You're going to hurt your pretty little head if you keep dwelling on the past." He says, amused by the frown on my face, clearly disagreeing with his words. He grabs my chin between his fingers and gently tilt my head up, so I am looking directly into his scarlet eyes again. The crimson inside his eyes is glowing like rubies and I must swallow to get rid of the dry feeling in my mouth.

"What are you trying to hide, Sylus?" It's clear that we have a common past that ended in disaster and that he knows something while I lost my memory somehow.

Sylus takes a moment to look at my face, taking in my confused and determined expression. A soft sigh escapes his lips. "And what makes you think I'm trying to hide anything, hunter?" He murmurs, his fingers still gently holding my chin in place.

"I just know it... Stop touching me already... I am not your pet...!" I snap impatiently, standing up and pacing through the room like a trapped animal.

He chuckles again - clearly amused by my stubbornness and how feisty I am. "You know, most people would be more terrified than this." He says, leaning back on the couch and watching me pace through his office like a caged animal. "They would have been begging and pleading for their life already - trying to get me to show mercy." He states a smirk on his face as my sharp eyes glare back at him. "But not you, no." He muses, his eyes wandering over my rebellious figure, studying my every movement with keen interest.

"You, on the other hand, are standing here and snapping at me, trying to act all brave and defiant..." He mutters, his gaze flickering over my face, noticing the slight hint of fear and doubt in my eyes. He chuckles and stands up from the couch, slowly walking towards me. "Even though you're clearly terrified, kitten."

Sylus continues moving until he is right in front of me, his chest almost touching mine. I can feel the heat radiating off his body, my breath quickening as he looms over me, looking down at my face. "Tell me, little hunter. Is the anger and determination the only thing preventing you from collapsing in fear right now?" He whispers, his eyes flickering from my eyes to my parted lips.
