I realize that talking to Sylus like that is useless... Obvious, he is insane... I wreck my brain for another solution, trying to remember what I know about him. What rumors did I discover about the Leader of the N109 Zone while preparing for my mission?
"Let's make a deal... Or a bet." I suddenly suggest, knowing that the leader of the N109 Zone can't resist a good deal when the stakes are high. "If I am not falling for you head over heels within... let's say... three days... I am free to go wherever I want. And you stop stalking me... in that time, I won't fight anymore, I won't try to run away, I will try and learn more about you... more about us."
I must admit that Sylus has piqued my interest. I really want to know what kind of memories are flashing back at me. What happened in the past? How was Sylus before that tragic end accrued and why did he change so drastically? Why did I fall in love with him in the first place?
Sylus raises an eyebrow at my proposal, a hint of intrigue in his expression as I suggest a bet. He can sense the determination in my eyes, and a smirk forms on his lips as he considers my terms. "A bet? Three days, hm?... And if you don't fall for me in that time, you're free to go... No more stalking from my side, no more running from yours... And you'll allow me to teach you more about me..."
"Interesting... I'm tempted, but I have a counteroffer for you..." Sylus steps back, circling around me, his eyes roaming over your body again as he finally speaks. "Yes, I could agree to your terms... but where's the fun in that? Why don't we make this more interesting, kitten... How about we tweak your little bet a bit...?"
"What do you mean?" I look at Sylus in suspicion, not trusting him at all. I guess I should have known by now that it won't be that easy to trick him.
Sylus continues to circle around me, his eyes locked on my body, his smile widening as Sylus responds. "Instead of setting a specific time limit, how about this... I give you three chances under my terms to deny that you're falling for me... You must do whatever I say... If you can deny your attraction to me three times within those three chances... then you're free to go and I'll leave you alone..."
"But if, during those three chances, you are unable to deny your attraction to me... then you belong to me... Simple enough, don't you think?"
The realization and hesitation in my face as he explains the new terms of the deal is easy for him to read. The idea of three chances under his command instead of a time limit clearly making me feel uneasy. But he can also see the curiosity in my expression, the temptation to take the bet and see where it leads. "What do you say, kitty? Are you brave enough to take the bet?"
"We have a deal..." I finally nod. "But since I promised not to fight or run away during the bet... These handcuffs are unnecessary, don't you think?" I look from you to my wrists behind my back.
Sylus pauses for a moment, considering my request to remove the handcuffs. "Fine, kitten... I suppose the handcuffs are no longer necessary... for now...!" Sylus reaches out and undoes the handcuffs, removing them from my wrists and letting them fall to the floor with a soft clanking sound.
Taking a few steps back he crosses his arms, his gaze lingering on my body, now free from the confines of the handcuffs. A small smirk crosses his face as he speaks. "There you go... No more handcuffs... for now. Remember, kitten... You agreed to the terms of the bet... No fighting, no running...!"
He steps closer to me again, his body mere inches away from my own. "Are you sure you're not scared, kitty? This is quite the risky bet..." Sylus murmurs, his voice lowering to a low, seductive tone, making it clear that he has no doubts about me losing the bet.
I suppress the urge to run, well knowing that I would not stand a chance against Sylus. He and his superpowers are clearly in advantage here, the only hope to escape is winning the damn bet. Besides, I already promised and agreed on the bet, and I am not the type of woman to break my word once given. But his cockiness annoys me. "You should be careful... In the end, it could be you falling head over heels for me after all..."
Sylus chuckles softly as I respond, my feisty nature still alive and well despite the deal we just made. "Oh darling, please don't be delusional... We both know that won't happen after you tried to leave and kill me... but it's adorable that you try to act confident..." Sylus leans in even closer, his voice dropping even huskier, his scarlet eyes are locked on mine. "But for your sake, I hope you're right... I do have a feeling you'll be mine before those three chances are up..."
