Kitty's Perspective

"You've got terrible timing." Sylus comments mockingly and sighs clearly frustrated by the furry interruption, but I can also see the hint of a smirk on his lips as he reluctantly pulls away and gets down from me. He leans against my shoulder, wrapping his arm around my waist and pulling me even closer to snuggle against me. Then, he waits with a gentle smile on his lips for the little kitten to approach us.

The sight melts my heart. I can't decide who is more adorable, the little kitten curiously sniffing at my fingers with its cold wet nose or Sylus admiring the feline. As I stare at Sylus like in a daze, I start to wonder how a person can be so complex: He is powerful and intimidating, controlling and possessive, often annoying and arrogant, but also soft and sweet, caring and protective, loving and passionate and unexpected amusing.

After a while, he senses my intense glare, and his soft gaze suddenly wanders to me. My heart skips a beat as his vulnerable expression strikes me like a bolt of lightning. Damn. Sorry, kitten! Sylus clearly wins the battle. I can't help but blush, and I quickly return my attention to the little kitten.

I reach out to pet its head, my fingers moving gently over its soft fur. The kitten nuzzles against my hand, and I can't help but let out a soft laugh as it pushes its little face against my palm. "You've found a home. Nice for you." The kitten curls up into a precious little ball of fur next to me, its small purrs filling the room, adding a soothing soundtrack to the atmosphere.

"It could be your home, too. If you want to stay." Sylus suddenly whispers against my ear, his warm breath wafting over the skin on my neck and I can't help but shiver slightly. His voice sounds unusually hoarse, even vulnerable. Baffled, my eyes wander from the purring furball to Sylus's face. His expression is tense, but he looks intently into my eyes, waiting for my response.

What did he just say? Time itself seems to stop as my mind starts to race, analyzing all the cons and pros of his offer. Is Sylus, the influential leader of the N109 Zone, really inviting me to live with him, here in this villa of a villain? Not to forget, that he is the target of my current mission. I am a hunter after all - probably with a messed-up reputation after that incident at the party, but still a hunter - and moving in with a dangerous villain would only complicate things further regarding my job, leading to a massive interest conflict.

Despite having a deep bond and undeniably feelings for him, I do not really know many facts about this dangerous man. What kind of life did he live until now before we met? The facts I discovered based on my professional research do not really count to the pro side of my list.

And I do not even know what kind of shady business he manages. Maybe it's for the better of me not knowing the full details anyway. But will it be dangerous for me to live here? And there is still a hint of uneasiness lingering in the back of my mind as I recall our conversation about Dr. Zayne, that I can't let go so easily.
