Irresponsible decision making

The long shift had finally come to an end, and the interns were sprawled across the break room, their scrubs wrinkled, faces exhausted, but their spirits still high. The relief of surviving another day in the hospital brought out their raw, unfiltered selves as they relaxed for a moment before heading home.

Sana slumped on the couch, still fuming. "I can't believe Jaehyun today. The guy seriously made the *worst* call on that patient. I had to step in before things got worse, but by then, the damage was done. How can someone be so reckless? It's like-who even gave this guy a medical degree?"

Yoongi, sitting with his arms folded, nodded in agreement. "He's got zero instinct. Like, come on, it's basic stuff."

Sana threw her hands up in frustration. "Right? How do you screw up something so simple? It's like watching a train wreck in slow motion."

That's when Dahyun, who had been listening quietly while sipping her coffee, suddenly burst into laughter.

Sana turned to her with wide eyes. "Wait, why are you laughing? This isn't funny."

Dahyun tried to suppress her grin but failed miserably. "No, no, sorry, I was just thinking..." She paused for dramatic effect, her eyes twinkling mischievously. "You should have seen my mom. Talk about *irresponsible* decisions."

The room went silent for a beat, and then Jihyo raised an eyebrow. "Oh no," she said with mock seriousness. "Is this one of those *sentimental* moments where you start talking about your mom and then get all angry with us?"

Dahyun's grin widened as she leaned back in her chair, clearly enjoying the attention. "Oh, please. If this were one of those moments, you'd all be in for it. But no, I've got way darker stuff to share about her today."

Sana and Jihyo exchanged amused glances, with Sana rolling her eyes dramatically. "Here we go."

Jihyo, unable to resist, added, "So, Dahyun, what? Your mom raised you irresponsibly? I mean, we could already tell," she teased, smirking.

Dahyun shot her a playful glare. "Hey, she did her best... which clearly wasn't good enough. The fact that I even survived childhood is a miracle."

Sana leaned in, a smirk playing on her lips. "So, what? She forgot to feed you or something?"

Dahyun chuckled darkly. "Worse. Let's just say when I came home with my first scraped knee, her advice was, 'Rub some dirt in it, builds character.'"

Jihyo burst out laughing, clearly enjoying this way too much. "Oh, God. *That* explains so much about you."

Sana joined in, grinning. "Seriously, I always knew something was off."

Dahyun shrugged, her smile never fading. "Yeah, well, she believed in tough love. Maybe a little *too* tough."

Jungkook, who had been quietly sipping his water, suddenly spoke up. "Should we, uh, be concerned about how twisted you two are?" His eyes flicked between Jihyo and Dahyun, looking half amused, half serious.

Yoongi glanced at Jungkook and gave him a shrug. "They've always been like this. You just get used to it."

Sana nodded, still laughing. "Honestly, Jungkook, if you're not worried by now, you've been hanging around us for too long."

Jihyo leaned back, throwing an arm around Dahyun's shoulders. "This is how we cope. If you can't laugh at your terrible childhood, what's the point?"

Dahyun grinned, nudging Jihyo. "Exactly. The darker the joke, the stronger the bond."

Jungkook shook his head in disbelief but couldn't help the smile that crept onto his face. "You two are something else."

Yoongi added dryly, "Dahyun and Jihyo's comedy hour should come with a warning label."

Sana smirked, playfully elbowing Jungkook. "Don't worry, if we ever get too dark, we've got Jungkook here to bring in the sunshine."

Jungkook just chuckled, knowing full well how often he played the role of balancing their twisted humor. "Yeah, yeah, I'll be the light to your darkness. Someone has to keep this group somewhat sane."

As they continued to laugh and joke, the exhaustion of the day began to melt away. Despite the dark humor and endless teasing, there was an unspoken understanding between them all-this was how they dealt with the pressures of their jobs, the trauma they saw daily, and the weight they carried as interns. They found comfort in each other's company, in the shared madness of their lives, and, most importantly, in knowing that even in the darkest moments, they weren't alone.
