The air in the hospital was heavy, the kind of suffocating stillness that settled after a tragedy. Sana sat alone in the residents' lounge, staring at the yellow envelope she had clutched in her hands. She hadn't said much since the reading of Suho's will that morning.
Dahyun and Jihyo stood in the doorway, whispering.
"She hasn't moved since we left the meeting," Dahyun said softly.
"Do you think we should say something?" Jihyo asked, though her voice carried no conviction.
"She loved him, Jihyo. I don't even know what we could say."
Inside the room, Sana's mind was running in circles. The moment Suho's lawyer had read his will, her world had cracked open in a way she hadn't expected. Suho had left her everything-his apartment, his savings, his car. It wasn't just the material weight of it all; it was what it meant.
She'd loved him, yes, but she hadn't saved him. Every penny, every square foot of that apartment felt like a testament to her failure.

Flashback:
It was a rare quiet night in the hospital when Suho first told her about the life he wanted to build.
"You know what I'd do if I could?" Suho had said, his voice weak but steady. "I'd buy a place near the Han River. Big windows. Lots of light. You'd like that, right?"
"Stop talking like that," Sana had replied, brushing his hair back from his forehead. "We're getting you better, and then we'll talk about houses."
But now, that dream belonged only to her.

Back in the present, Taehyung found Sana in the lounge. He'd been avoiding Dahyun, his heart too tangled in her orbit, and sought refuge in helping someone else.
"Hey," he said, pulling up a chair beside her.
Sana didn't look at him.
"Do you think he hated me?" she whispered.
"What?"
"For not saving him. For... for being the person he left behind to clean up his mess."
Taehyung leaned forward, his elbows resting on his knees. "He didn't leave you a mess, Sana. He left you something to hold onto. Maybe it's his way of making sure you remember him."
Her hands trembled as she opened the envelope again, pulling out the letter Suho had left her. His handwriting was neat but shaky, the words almost vibrating off the page.
"Dear Sana,
You made me believe in something bigger than my own pain. This isn't about what I have or don't have-it's about what I felt. You were my light in this darkness, and I want you to keep shining. Even if I can't be there to see it."
Tears slid silently down her cheeks as she folded the letter back into the envelope.
"I can't do this," she said, her voice breaking.
"Yes, you can," Taehyung replied, his voice steady. "Because that's who you are, Sana. You grieve, and you feel, but you keep going. And that's why he loved you."
From the doorway, Jungkook stood silently, watching. He knew better than to interrupt.
