A little fun won't hurt

It all began in the break room, where everyone was gathered after a long, exhausting shift. Sana, full of energy despite the late hour, perked up and announced, "You know what we need? A party!"

Dahyun, who was sitting with her head resting on the table, groaned. "At whose house? We live in the hospital more than our own homes."

Sana grinned mischievously, her eyes sparkling with excitement. "At your house, of course! You have the perfect space. Plus, since Jungkook and I live there now, it's practically a shared party."

Dahyun's eyes widened in horror. "Absolutely not! My house is the only place I get peace!"

But Sana was on a roll, already ignoring Dahyun's protests. "I'll invite everyone-our department, the nurses, even Jin from Neuro. We deserve a break."

Jihyo leaned back in her chair, her usual serious demeanor softening slightly. "A party sounds fun. Plus, I could use a distraction from all the chaos here."

Yoongi, sitting next to her, chimed in, "As long as there's food, I'm in."

Dahyun sighed, defeated. "Fine, but you all better help clean up afterward."

The night of the party arrived, and Dahyun's house was transformed. The living room was filled with people-residents, attendings, and nurses-all mingling, dancing, and drinking. Music pumped through the speakers as laughter filled the room.

Sana was in her element, dressed in a sparkly top, playing the perfect host. She flitted around, making sure everyone had drinks, introducing people, and just generally being the life of the party.

Jungkook, on the other hand, leaned casually against the kitchen counter, watching the chaos unfold with a smirk. He had already started chatting with one of the new interns, and Yoongi stood beside him, awkwardly holding a beer, clearly more comfortable in an OR than a party.

"How are you enjoying the 'vagina squad'?" Jungkook teased Yoongi, referencing their recent banter in the on-call room.

Yoongi gave him a side-eye. "You're never going to let that go, are you?"

Jungkook just laughed and took a swig of his drink. "Nope."

Meanwhile, Jihyo and Dahyun stood in the corner, watching the madness unfold. Jihyo sipped her drink, already over the party and contemplating going back to study.

"You okay?" Dahyun asked, noticing the look on her friend's face.

"I'm fine," Jihyo replied. "Just thinking about how much work I'm going to have to catch up on tomorrow."

Dahyun smiled. "You know, you could just try to relax for once. It wouldn't kill you."

Jihyo shrugged. "Maybe."

At that moment, Sana bounced over, grabbing both of their arms. "Come on! You two are being boring. Let's dance!"

Before either of them could protest, Sana had pulled them into the middle of the living room, where people were dancing. Jin, their charming and slightly cocky attending from Neuro, spotted them and made his way over to Dahyun.

"Hey," he greeted with a smile, standing way too close. "You look like you could use another drink."

Dahyun glanced at him shyly and then at her empty glass. "You know, maybe I do."

As Jin went to get her a drink, Nayeon, their tough-as-nails attending, who had also somehow been dragged to the party, walked in, arms crossed, scanning the room like she was trying to decide who was slacking the most. Her eyes landed on Sana, who immediately froze mid-dance.

"Dr. Minatozaki," Nayeon called out, her voice dripping with that signature Bailey-like sternness. "You do realize you have a shift tomorrow morning, right?"

Sana grinned, undeterred. "Of course, Dr. Im! That's why I'm making the most of tonight!"

Nayeon rolled her eyes but couldn't hide the tiny smile that tugged at her lips. "Well, make sure you show up on time. Hungover or not, I'll expect you in top form."

Jungkook, overhearing the exchange, chuckled. "Looks like someone's going to regret this in the morning."

Sana shot him a playful glare. "I'll be fine. It's you who should be worried. You're the one who has to keep up with me!"

---

As the night progressed, the party grew wilder. People were dancing on tables, and the kitchen counters were filled with empty bottles. Yoongi somehow got roped into being the DJ, even though he wasn't thrilled about it. Jungkook, ever the instigator, convinced Yoongi to play some questionable tracks, which led to an impromptu karaoke session that had everyone laughing.

At one point, Dahyun and Jihyo found themselves hiding in Dahyun's room, trying to escape the madness for a few minutes.

"I can't believe you let them do this to your house," Jihyo said, shaking her head.

Dahyun groaned. "I know. It was a terrible idea. I'm never doing this again."

Suddenly, there was a loud crash from the living room, followed by laughter. "What the hell was that?" Dahyun asked, wide-eyed.

They rushed back out to find Yoongi standing next to a broken lamp, looking mortified while Sana and Jungkook were laughing uncontrollably.

"I didn't do it!" Yoongi protested. "They were dancing like idiots!"

Jungkook just clapped him on the back. "It's okay, Yoongi. It's not a real party until something gets broken."

Sana, tears in her eyes from laughing so hard, added, "We'll replace it. Don't worry!"

Dahyun just shook her head, too tired to even be angry. "You guys are the worst."

---

As the party slowly began to wind down, people started leaving, and the house became quieter. Sana, Jungkook, and Yoongi helped clean up while Dahyun collapsed on the couch, exhausted but grateful that her house was still (mostly) intact.

Jihyo, having already retired to her room, texted them all: *Next time, let's just go to a bar*.

Dahyun glanced around at her friends-her chaotic, hilarious, disaster-prone friends-and despite the mess, she couldn't help but smile. This was their life now-non-stop surgeries, endless hours on call, and the occasional wild party to blow off steam. It was exhausting, but somehow, it was perfect.

As Sana plopped down beside her, she grinned. "Admit it, Dahyun, you had fun."

Dahyun just shook her head, smiling despite herself. "Yeah, maybe a little."
