Jungkook's Pov

"Some people just never learn. No matter how many chances they're given, no matter how many times they're forgiven, they always find a way to mess up. Maybe it's in our nature-this stubborn refusal to learn, to grow. I guess that's the thing about consequences-you can try to run from them, but they'll always find a way back to you. We act like the consequences won't catch up to us, like we can outrun the damage we cause. But eventually, our actions always come back to bite us. And when they do, they hit harder than you ever expect."

Jungkook's thoughts drifted as he reflected on the choices he had made recently. His actions were starting to catch up with him, and deep down, he knew he was about to pay for them. But the part of him that wanted to change still felt too small, too far from the surface. It's as though his mistakes were inevitable, woven into the fabric of his nature.

Between the endless shifts, sleepless nights, and high-stakes surgeries, the interns found moments of distraction in each other. Unbeknownst to the others, Jungkook and Sana were growing closer, and their relationship had started to take on more than just casual interactions. There was something comfortable about their dynamic, something that felt almost natural in the chaos of hospital life.

Their relationship had been going smoothly for a while. Sana, with her infectious charm, had always been a little skeptical of Jungkook's reputation as a playboy, but he had managed to break through her walls. Or at least, that's what she thought.

---

One night, after a long shift, Yoongi noticed how tired Sana is, told her that he can cover her night shift and that she can cover his next week which Sana gladly took the offer. She then decided to go home to Dahyun's place, where Jungkook was probably sleeping by now. She wanted to surprise him. Maybe they could unwind together after a grueling week. But as she approached the house, something didn't feel right. Her heart sank as she saw the silhouette of Jungkook through the window, leading a woman-not her-into his room.

Her heart pounded in her chest, anger bubbling up inside her as she watched him kiss the other girl before closing the door behind them. It wasn't just a kiss. It was betrayal, plain and simple.

Without hesitation, Sana stormed inside, her mind racing with every step. She didn't care about being quiet or subtle. She threw open Jungkook's door, catching him mid-laugh with the girl. The room fell into a stunned silence.

"Sana-" Jungkook stammered, but she cut him off with a voice cold as ice.

"I always knew you were a playboy, Jungkook," she said, her voice shaking, but not from fear-from the anger she had been trying to suppress for weeks. "But I didn't think you'd do this to me too. I thought what we had was different, more than just scratching an itch."

Jungkook stood frozen, guilt written all over his face, but he didn't say a word. The other girl, confused and embarrassed, quickly gathered her things and bolted out of the room, not wanting to be caught in the middle of this. "I'll leave you two." she awkwardly said.

"Yeah, you probably should before I dragged you out of here and throw you to the streets. OUT!" Sana screamed her heart out pointing her firgers to the door. The girl then hurriedly ran out of the house.

"Do you have anything to say? What am I exactly to you?" Sana demanded, tears starting to pool in her eyes, though she willed herself not to cry. " Or am I just another girl for you to screw around?"

Jungkook opened his mouth, but no words came out. He knew there was nothing he could say to make this better, no excuse that would justify his actions.

---

At that exact moment, the front door opened, and Dahyun and Jihyo walked in, laughing and joking about their latest surgery. Oblivious to the tension in the room, Jihyo threw her bag on the floor and grinned at Dahyun.

"We just ran into Jungkook's little whore in the hallway," Jihyo said, her tone dark and sarcastic. "She looked like she was in a hurry."

Dahyun snorted. "Guess Jungkook's been keeping himself busy."

They continued to banter, completely unaware of the storm brewing between Sana and Jungkook. But the air was thick with unspoken emotions, and it didn't take long for them to notice something was off.

Sana, standing there with tears threatening to spill, finally exploded.

"Do you think this is funny?!" she shouted, her voice breaking as she looked at Dahyun and Jihyo. "Do you know why she was in a hurry? Because she was screwing the boy who promised to start a healthy relationship with me. Yup, he said 'healthy relationship' only for me to walk on them."

Jihyo's smirk disappeared immediately, and Dahyun's eyes widened as she processed the weight of what Sana had just said.

"Sana, I-" Jungkook tried again, but she was already walking toward the door.

"Save it," she snapped, her voice raw with pain. "I thought you were different, Jungkook. I thought we were different."

With that, she stormed out of the apartment, slamming the door behind her.

Jungkook ran after her, calling her name, but Sana was already gone. The front door banged shut again, leaving only Dahyun and Jihyo in the wake of the disaster.

---

Jihyo let out a long breath, running a hand through her hair. "Well... that was awkward."

Dahyun shook her head, crossing her arms as she leaned against the wall. "You think?"

The two stood in silence for a moment, the weight of what had just happened sinking in.

"I mean, we knew Jungkook was a player," Jihyo muttered. "But I didn't think he'd screw things up with Sana like that."

"You knew about them?"

"Oh please, with these eyes? Do you think I'll miss it?"

Dahyun sighed, her tone darker. "Wow! You're awesome! But as for him, I guess some people never change. Actions always have consequences."

Jihyo nodded, the two of them settling back into their usual dark humor. "Well, it looks like Jungkook's about to learn that the hard way."

They shared a knowing look before shrugging it off, their twisted humor returning as a coping mechanism. But deep down, they both knew that the fallout from this wasn't going to be easy for anyone.

"The thing about mistakes is that they have a way of catching up to you, no matter how fast you think you're running. You can lie, you can cheat, you can try to cover your tracks, but eventually, the truth comes out. And when it does, you're left with nothing but regret. You can apologize, you can beg for forgiveness, but sometimes, it's just too late. Some people never learn. Maybe that's because, deep down, they don't want to."
