Dahyun was fumbling for her keys, trying to balance her takeout bag and work tote, when a loud shriek pierced the air. She froze, her eyes widening as she heard a distinct, high-pitched voice-Sana's. The next moment, the door their home burst open, and a flurry of clothing came flying out: shirts, pants, socks, even a pair of boxers. Then, Jungkook stumbled out after them, looking utterly bewildered and... shirtless.
"Are you kidding me, Jeon Jungkook?!" Sana yelled, standing at the door with her hands on her hips, fury blazing in her eyes. "You think I wouldn't find out? AGAIN?"
Jungkook scrambled to gather his clothes, cheeks flushed. "Sana, it wasn't-she's just a friend! We weren't even-"
"Oh, save it!" Sana snapped, tossing his jacket at him with enough force that it almost hit him in the face. "I am *done* giving you chances. This is it, Jungkook!"
"Sana, come on! I'm sorry!" he pleaded, trying to keep his voice down as neighbors began peeking out of their doors. He gave Dahyun a quick, sheepish look as if to ask for help, but Dahyun simply raised her eyebrows, stifling a laugh. She wasn't about to get in the middle of this one.
Sana stepped back, crossing her arms defiantly. "Jungkook, we're done. You're not worming your way back this time."
Before Jungkook could respond, Sana slammed the door shut, leaving him standing half-dressed in the front porch, looking utterly lost. After a long silence, he let out a frustrated sigh and turned to Dahyun, who was trying (and failing) to keep a straight face.
"Don't... don't say anything," he muttered, clutching his clothes to his chest.
Dahyun chuckled, her amusement too hard to hide. "Oh, I wasn't planning on it. But I will say... you might want to consider laundry day. Looks like you'll be washing everything you own."
Jungkook rolled his eyes, managing a weak laugh as he slipped on his shirt. "Yeah, well, what's one more messed-up night, right?"
---
A little later that evening, Dahyun's doorbell rang. She opened it to find Jihyo standing there with an oversized bag in one hand and a mischievous grin. In the other hand, she held up a hefty bottle of soju.
"So," Jihyo started, breezing past Dahyun and into the apartment, "I heard that Jungkook got evicted by Sana. Well, it's just about time!" She let out a laugh as she set the bottle on the coffee table, looking way too pleased. "Thought we'd commemorate the occasion."
As if on cue, the door opened and Sana walked in with a bottle of tequila in hand, her eyes still a little red but her expression determined. "There's no liquor in the fridge. So, I made a quick stop." she raised the bottle of tequila in the air "And yeah. I'm ready to drink. Let's drink!"
Dahyun gestured for them to come in, feeling her own spirits lift a little. "Well, welcome, ladies. I guess this is officially a night of heartbreak and regret."
Jihyo plopped onto the couch, kicking off her shoes. "To heartbreak, misery, and men who can't keep it in their pants," she toasted, unscrewing the cap of the soju and pouring a shot for each of them.
Sana downed her shot, wincing as the liquid burned down her throat. "You know, I should've known better. Jungkook's about as reliable as a broken pager."
Dahyun nodded in agreement. "You know what, we should create a support group. Interns Anonymous: for women who constantly make bad choices with men."
They all burst out laughing, and soon the dark humor flowed as freely as the liquor. With each drink, their sarcasm grew sharper, their laughter louder. Soon they were sprawled across the living room, laughing at the absurdity of their shared love lives.
